Myles Lewis-Skelly (49)

Well played MLS

He should start over the weekend if neither Calafiori or Zinchenko are available. Free us from having to sit through another Partey at right-back exhibition

Good to see him get another game and justify it too

Most effective moments, unsurprisingly, came when he shifted inside to the midfield. Very exciting talent, no doubt about it. The bull has horns.

Great player, hope he goes from strength to strength, the lad’s quality.

Arteta found his Rico Lewis, hopefully a better one.

Him and Ethan are a real bonus.

Looks like he’s got that get the fuck off me power, like Saka.

I don’t tend to care too much about how kids do until they start to produce regularly and get game time. But it’ll be nice to have another body to rely on given our full backs seem to either be unable to stay fit or need to have their minutes carefully managed.

We’ve got White out long term, Tomiyasu is basically a non-entity at his point, Zinchenko is always injured and Cala / Timber have to be watched carefully.

True.

Dembele’s a great shout tbf. The way he’s comfortable under pressure and always has his body open ready to turn and play the ball in another direction.

Very promising game from him last night, was surprised he came off.

Btw, worth saying again that he has a big opening to go into the World Cup as England’s starting left back.
