I think this will really come down to the player’s preference. Daniel Levy isn’t going to outbid clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea if the latter two really want him.
I do have some doubts how far Arteta really wants to go with a deal like this, given that we were just looking at a player like Watkins. Realistically, a 19-year-old moving clubs midseason is potentially a great building block for the future but is very unlikely to be the decisive factor in a big CL tie.

I think the situation is Spurs are willing to pay up which Bayern fancy, while teams like Man Utd are interested in him if he goes out on loan.
Not sure where we figure out here. I can’t see us paying agreeing a fee for him like Spurs, and I don’t think he’d pick us if he goes out on loan.
