Let’s just hope Odegaard doesn’t go the same way as Ceballos, who actually looked good towards the end of his first season here, including the FA Cup run. Very disappointing how his early promise stalled, and then went backwards.

This strikes me as a very good deal and one that I thought we had no chance of doing when he was on loan here, especially at the price tag being suggested.
He gives us an awful lot and I like that we can play him and ESR rather than one or the other. While I understand the window has been disappointing on many other fronts, objectively I think this is one of the best deals Arsenal could have done.

Agree mostly but we won’t reach his full potential while Xhaka enforces Arteta tactics.
Xhaka injury or suspension needs to happen for him.

It’s an ok transfer - probably quite good but he doesn’t seem to have many better suitors and he’s clearly been out of favour at Real for what feels like years now. Not sure why this couldn’t be tied up earlier or in conjunction with as least one other expansive creative signing.

I disagree mate, I think he is a very good player, and once we get rid of of the no-hoper in charge, our new manager, whoever that may be, will have a damn good player on his hands…
