Those can be misleading. Had a few good passes, but also had a few random nothing crosses that they probably counted in there too.

Eye test needed again because that wasn’t a great performance from him. Not by a long shot.
To be fair to Odegaard, he’s playing in a team that lacks quality in front of him so until that is sorted out, these performances will continue.
But he was a goal scorer a couple seasons ago we don’t even see him look deadly in the box anymore so 
I agree but Saka is out and last season Havertz and occasionally Trossard were making more chances.
Before that Martinelli and Jesus were in form but this season he’s got no one on his level upfront and it shows.

Odegaard’s been shit for so many games this season it’s unreal. Needs to fix up fast and show some leadership.
We don’t seem to be creating situations where he’s getting to run onto a ball on the edge of or just inside the box and hit it. Feels like a lot of his chances now are him weaving away into a small amount of space and trying to curl one into the corner.
Wasn’t he the one that served it on a platter for Rice and Havertz?
I think that stat about having two expected assists checks out in that case.

Yeah, but 10 chances sounds a bit ridiculous, we didn’t create 10 proper chances the whole game.

10 chances is hugely underselling it imo. I consider every pass to be a missed shot and we made over 650 passes. Ode did at least 30 passes himself.

Normally people moan and say ‘yeah but x player takes corners so it counts them’
At least we know this is 10 ‘chances’ excluding corners cos his attempts were fucking dreadful.
I think he did alright last night, not the dizzying heights we know he can produce, but he was definitely creating most of the chances we did fashion. Hence the stat.

Overall, he had a really good match. Needs a goal or two to get his confidence back up to where it needs to be.

For a footballer playing at the highest level, this guy can’t shoot to save his life. Just pathetic. I don’t expect him to have a thunderous shot but he can barely get any power behind the ball when he shoots for goal.
He would have many more goals/assists if his shots had more venom.

Funnily enough he hasn’t underperformed his xg in any season since joining us until now
He needs to sort it out, he used to actually be a threat around from edge of the box
