He’s a talented, young AM that’s coming from Real Madrid. That’s a very good price for a player who also happens to be captain of his country. He’s got a big profile too, he’s not an unknown randomer.

Villa and West Ham? He can play with Buendia and Villa can definitely use more creative players. As for West Ham, he’s better than all their attacking midfielders.
Only Leicester is a valid argument as they have Maddison. Knowing Rodgers btw, very likely Odegaard’s work-rate wins him over. He’s more suitable to be an #8 as well compared to Maddison.
But apparently Ben is, or actually was, worth 50m pounds, until of course Arsenal bought him.

I just hope this isn’t the “big” signing in the the “exciting” window we were promised.
He’s a decent enough player but we were short of a goal scoring, assist making AM. when he was here last season, so I don’t see how he is going to make that much difference.

Well, what reporters say, unless they’re reporting actual quotes, doesn’t really factor into the equation. I’m asking if anyone at the club said it would be an “exciting” window. If so that seems an incredibly unwise thing to say lol, that’s why I’m curious as to whether it was actually said. Always happy to get more ammo to slate the club for haha.
