That Avi update should hold you for a bit

For £30m ish is a bargain, but don’t stop there. Aouar for £20 which would be a very smart business for good deep lying player maker . We need as much creative mids as possible smart business and the combined fee’s would be less than Maddison
Who I like but he is not worth 70/80 million. Get Elneny and Torrierra out the door. And It’s better window the 1/10 it was a day ago lol

Yeah, delighted with the €35m fee. Means we surely have funds left to complete other deals (Ramsdale, Aouar). Maybe even a new striker if Lacazette is sold.

Great deal, I think he minces too much, but he’s young and when he grows into this side now he actually plays for us hopefully he takes more decisive routes.

Really really need a cm now.

He won’t prosper under micro management. He needs to be given responsibility and allowed the odd mistake.
He can’t reach his potential anyother way. It’s a great signing and frustrating one because of this.
Just give him his freedom to Express ffs.

With his rumoured attitude problems, you could just imagine how long he’d last under Arteta and what kind of loss we’d make on the transfer when he’s bombed out a year down the line

Rubbish signing and why did it take so long to re-sign a guy who was already on loan here? Typical cheap ass moves from our board.

110m for Odegaard, Ramsdale and White…Europa Conference League we comin at ya!

Even £34m including add ons is a decent price. I was worried about a fee in the £50m range.

I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but if the fee really is as low as rumoured then I’m slightly concerned about what kind of clauses/buy back will be included in the deal.

None, surely? Or it would have been mentioned by the ITK’s.

Clauses yes, probably sell-on and win bonuses.

TalkSport have ruined Laura.

Surely he won’t take any part in the game v Chelsea, even if the signing is announced today?

Yeah, can’t see that happening either

Do Madrid often buy players back from mid table shitters? Unless he turns into a superstar I don’t think it’s something to worry about as long as it’s not dirt cheap.

Arseblog were clear this morning there was no buy back clause

Half these guys know shit all lol, just cos it’s not in their tweets doesn’t mean I’m taking it as given that no such clause exists. People spend 12 months living in Bell’s arsehole only to then destroy the bloke for getting things wrong this window. And he’s the guy who was apparently meant to be the gold standard? I don’t really have faith in any of them lol.

But if the general noise is saying that there’s no buy back then great. But if it just hasn’t been specified, then I won’t assume just yet.

A buy back itself wouldn’t necessarily concern me, the concern would only be if its a shitty price for us.

Real Madrid attach buyback clauses to players they’ve clearly sold for under the value. When they got rid of Morata to Juventus, he was very highly regarded and considered a future Real striker so they attached a buy back and sold him for low.

They don’t attach buyback clauses to players they simply don’t want and that’s the category that Odegaard falls into. They didn’t even register him, he isn’t considered key. He got nothing under Zidane, nothing under Carlo.

It’s simply that we are buying a player at a value that is respectable to both clubs. Real want to raise money but probably realise that there isn’t a big market for Odegaard and that the sun with some adds on is a good sale for someone they’ve not really protected well

They bought Morata back just to sell him for bigger amount which was a good move tbf

Superb signing. Not the wide creative player we need, but you just don’t turn an opportunity to buy such a young, promising talent. Selling Willock probably allowed this to happen, so I’m calmer now.

We’re not trying to win the league this year (clearly) but a midfield of Partey/Odegaard/Sambi will be solid and occasionally very creative. If Aubu finds his boots we might start doing very well.
