Marc Guehi

As Tony Soprano would say, “I wipe my ass with your feelings”

Liverpool is the sensible destination.

Konate is wank and off in the summer.
VVD is wank and 35 in the summer.

I don’t think he would be an incredible signing. I think he will be a very capable back up and I don’t think we’ll have any regrets if this happens.

It’s Arteta so he’s signing a defender in the summer. Personally I’m ok with him going the free route there and leave more cash for other areas that may need addressing.

Well given that Saliba, Gabriel and Mosquera can’t stay fit for a whole season I think signing Guehi makes a lot of sense.

I can’t find a reliable report on Twitter of Glasner actually saying that Guehi is staying.

What about other unreliable sources

I do see one…

Just waiting on Indy to finish his shift at KFC before this gets moved to the Players section.

If it gets to the end of this transfer window and he’s still at Palace I’ll be feeling pretty confident he’s joining us this summer

Liverpool walk away from any January deal

Or idiot(not you @Bl1nk), Guehi is in no rush to wait till the summer as he’ll have more clubs to pick from and he’ll likely take nice sum home as a signing bonus too.

Yup. I’d do the same. Who wants to rush anything and have only Man City to choose from. Pep might leave in the summer too.

Exactly. It’s not just Arsenal, he’s got multiple clubs looking to sign him on a precontract from January 1st.
He can still sign for City in the summer, I’m sure they’ll still be in the mix.

that post-match scene where the Arsenal players were having a convo… :eyes:

Tbf, this seems like the best choice from Guehi’s perspective.

He’ll get his chance to play regularly from the start (basically for the rest of the season), with the injury issues they have and that gives him a big chance to push for a staring place later on if he proves himself.

He’s not getting that kind of chance at Arsenal.

Let them pay over the odds for him. I don’t see him being the decider on whether they win the league or not.

Does show their desperation though. For all the people crying about our spending, City have blew us out of the water when it comes to spending in the last three windows.

Probably gonna play a lot this season, then will be second choice for them next season.
