I don’t read that Fabrizio story as involving too much actual news. They presented him with a contract offer…we knew that was going to happen. Its all about how he reacts to that offer and weighs it against his summer options.
They’re gonna pay a hefty fee for a man they can get for free in the summer. They’ll likely have to hand him sweetened up contract as well to make it worthwhile for him to miss out on a potential signing bonus if he were to move on a free.
Let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter what city have to pay for a player.
Rather they struggle to get this over the line until the deadline at least.

Hopefully it takes him as long as possible to settle there.
After signing Semenyo, Man City are going to also get Guehi which will take their spending to around 130m.
It’s ridiculous that a club like Man City, with their limited support are allowed to buy their way out of trouble because of a few injuries but what’s more pathetic is that some of their supporters still say their success isn’t bought.

Where’s 130m come from? Semenyo was 65m wasn’t he, so I don’t think they’ll even hit 100m.
Your right, I’ve just looked and it won’t be that much but Guehi is valued at 55m so it will be around 110m, which is still ridiculous for a club accused of financial cheating.
He’s not coming here to be 3rd choice if the stats nerds are correct with their fancy percentages

Fabrizio says the fee is £20m. That’s not that bad. I do wonder if Palace are getting someone else from City on the cheap in return.
Whether they pay 100m or 500k wages per week, it doesn’t matter if they end up winning the league. Just shows the ambition at the end of the day where we struggled last few season when we needed one or two breakthrough in the Jan window.
At the end of the day, title matters and nothing else. It only shows one thing that they are ambitious and using all available resources to ensure they win the league
