Manchester United

If you’re not on Pogba’s payroll, you really should be

He’s failed too.

What a good entourage to be a part of. Trips to Dubai, Paris, probably hitting good shopping, kebabs, access to some amazing sneakers.

It’s a valid arguement about building around him but he himself on an individual level has been a disappointment

Not an excuse for his level being so inconsistent and uninspiring on so many occasions, just isn’t as good as he was marketed to be.

If he’s supposed to be even your 2nd best player then you aren’t really going anywhere.

His quality is unquestionable tbf. You do risk going one step forward, two steps back though…
Not sure he’s the missing piece.
Free agent yes but he’ll ask for a massive signing bonus along with a beefy contract.

I can actually see it being Spurs actually. Paratici almost got him back to Juve a few years ago. He and Conte have worked together before too.

I feel like it’s been questioned a ton over his stint at United, though I will admit they’re a dog shit system that seems to suck any joy out of life for everyone at the club.

I just think he’d be too expensive, too much of an ego and just overall too much hassle. Would be better looking for someone with less baggage.

God can you imagine Conte and Pogba both laying into how shit Spurs are after every defeat, would be hilarious.

He came in a big summer. I think it was the one with Mourinho in who still somewhat had a reputation as a real winner at that point. Bailly and Mkhitaryan from what I can recall were really highly rated.

If you put yourself in his shoes it looks like a good move to a good club at a good time but it’s all gone to complete shit.

I don’t think anyone predicted it going quite so shit from that point onwards. It felt to me like United we’re back for sure.

Kind of a running theme with their summers isn’t it lol. People were saying that this summer as they championed the Ronaldo return, along with Sancho and Varane. Going to be scary when they actually have a quiet pragmatic summer like we did. Though who am I kidding they’d never be humble enough to try that.

The biggest issue with that move was that he really wasn’t a Mourinho signing. Sporting reasons came second, like many of the moves of Man Utd the past decade.

I felt like he could have been a Mourinho signing. The same way that Sneijder was kind of a next level midfield player who transformed that Inter side into something special. Obviously they are two extremely different players.

Was Pogba’s reputation enhanced by playing in a midfield with Pirlo and peak Vidal? Almost certainly. But he’s also a talented enough and smart enough that I really thought he’d be a dream for someone like Mourinho to coach. Dude can run, can ball, can tackle, he’s got a good frame.

I’d take Pogba. Can see it being Man City and Newcastle maybe

Ten Haag would be a good appointment for Man United, really hoping it doesn’t happen. Would be the best appointment they’ve made post Fergie.

I think its a very good appointment in a vacuum but also has huge potential to go wrong because he has never worked with big players and also plays a Guardiola-type style of football to which the current players are completely unsuited with only a few exceptions. He’s going to need to do an Arteta-level clearing job on the roster if he wants to play that way, there will be a lot of drama with big players getting pushed aside or sold, and the results will probably be pretty crap for a while until he gets others players in the door and his system in place. But its not a club with a lot of patience for bad results and you’ll immediately have guys in media like Neville and Rio questioning whether Pochettino (apparently Fergie’s favorite for the job) would have been a better choice.

United need Poch

Would be a glorious way to confine them to mediocrity for a few more years

I’m not out on Poch yet, I still value the work he did at Spurs despite an average squad. Man his an CL final under his belt

PSG is a terrible gig for coaches

Nothing average about that Spurs squad.

Kane, Son, Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen and Alderweireld, Dembele, Eriksen.

Very well oiled team
