I think we can get something assuming we donāt go with the Elneny/ Xhaka pivot and Tierney is available.
Also glad to see common sense seems to be happening regarding Tierney in the end.
Canāt see him being left out of the squad. He played for Ghana Monday night. He is match fit. Reckon heāll be on the bench, but I voted that heāll start just because thatās what Iād do. Iād throw him straight in.

On a serious noteā¦ In that midfield Iād actually prefer Xhaka to Elneny. Heāll have good defensive protection with Partay, Ceballos helps also, the ground is coveredā¦ They are also good under pressure, they just take all the pressure off Xhaka and when he has the time and space he can put extra pressure on the opponent with his direct long passes etcā¦ Thatās a perfect surrounding for him, no need for Elnenyās legs there.
If youāe already putting an extra deep player next to/behind Partey, that should be Xhaka.

Surely Partey starts. He was playing for Atleti and then Ghana, so heās match fit. Even with little time with our squad, surely heād improve us just based on his talent. His English is very good, so no communication issues there. Iāll be really annoyed if he starts on the bench.
