I think last season’s game at the Etihad (in terms of magnitude) was about the same, personally.
Regardless, it’s just nice to be part of the conversation.

Such a shame.
Shame both teams aren’t able to play their best players in this epic battle.
It’s obviously a handicap, but not a huge blow for them. They can still play a pretty strong back 4 with Akanji, Dias, Ake and Gvardiol. It does limit their options if they need to make some changes.
I’m still far more concerned about Martinelli and whether he can play. He was an absolute game changer the last time we played them (at the start of the season) when he came on in the second half.

Even if they are out, City has the strength in depth to make it only a slight difference to them.
They may even be more unpredictable without a couple of their usual starters.
Stones is a big miss in terms of the unpredictability of where he moves and how he changes their shape.
As others have pointed out, they will still have a top class back 4 in place, but it gives us a little boost.
We just have to hope our main defenders all start. I don’t want White or Kiwior shifting into CB, or any shit like that.

I think this will be really tight game. Probably 1 goal win for either side or a draw. The only thing i am concerned with is that ginger pube always seems to find a way to sink us.

John stones is an irreplaceable loss. Nobody can replace the role he does for city.
What will their backline look like now? And is Ederson out too?
