By “couldn’t leave”, he might mean that Deportivo were unwilling to sell him when they are fighting a relegation battle.

I for one , don’t care if he was 1st choice or 5th choice , he’s here now ! I’m actually quite excited to see a forward with pace and direct clever movement !

Just hope the lad settles nicely and does the business, we could have a player that suits our football and compliments Özil perfectly !
