Regardless of anything else, this is what it boils down to. Ludicrous that a car could somehow end up in the middle of such a crowd.
Regarding possible motivation etc, I just think we should wait. I don’t understand what would motivate someone to start speculating about how the action of the pedestrian fans may have led to this incident occurring.
Just let the dust settle and then apportion blame where necessary.
Yes, I was going to mention that the timing likely impacted people’s response to Trion and I understand that.
Personally I don’t have a problem as I think a lot of information can be lost if not noted quickly (early info can also be wrong) but I also understand that in the immediate aftermath most people just want to grieve or show support and see anything else as insensitive.
I’m sure there’s also decades old debates that impact people’s opinions that I don’t have to worry about.
Yeah it’s just typical with some posters on this forum who live in their self-righteous bubble and can’t process any take which doesn’t conform to their line of thinking.
It would be fine if they could argue back in a productive manner to counter but they have minimal intellect to pull off a clean conversation and often rely on shutting posters down by sarcasm, calling names or by using racist/islamophobe labels. I does share some burden of blame that I give them too much importance to go on posting making myself look worse.
To think they are also moderators just makes it all the more worse. I wish they could just sit in a corner and refrain from posting since they are clearly incapable to deliberate properly.
For what it’s worth, my post was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek, perhaps I should have added an emoji (but sometimes adding an emoji feels a bit lame and kills the vibe). I do think your posts were a bit in bad taste coming right in the aftermath before anyone knew anything, but I don’t really think what you did is actually something that could be directly equated to how The Sun behaved the day after Hillsbrough.
But having said that, I fully believe you were being intentionally provocative, as you so often are. You love getting a reaction so I’m not going to feel bad about the fact that you got one.
