They’ll sell some players to Saudi, and be absolutely fine.
They’ll probably end up getting some crazy money for Nunez and/or Diaz. Elliot is apparently being shopped about too and they’re selling / they’ve sold Kelleher as well.
I reckon they’ll end up recouping the entirety of the Wirtz fee selling the above plus they spent nothing last summer and just won the league so think financially they’re in a good spot
Its absolutely hilarious they are signing some farmersliga player for 150m.
FUCK LIVERPOOL
Is this guy seriously worth €150m?
We will find out soon enough. I’m gonna bookmark this for May 2026 so we can revisit ![]()
Absolutely not.

With a bit of luck Liverpool are going to be on the wrong end of a Coutinho for once
Based on what? You’ve watched him play a lot?
No but he is from the Bundesliga so big tax
The third most expensive player of all time.
Look at the top 20, most of them are flops I thought clubs were done with these crazy high fee transfers clearly I’ve been wrong.
I think in this mad market, he fits the bill as an 100m player based on talent and his current level.
150m is a bit excessive, especially when you consider Liverpool have had a practically free run at him after he rejected City and Bayern.
I think Liverpool just did what we did with Rice and paid over the odds to seal the deal.
Their track record with superstar signings is well documented at this point, I reckon that played a factor in their urgency to get this over the line early and avoid surprises.
However good he is, it’s a massive fee and that comes with pressure. I saw as well that he’s gonna become one of the league’s highest earners too.
These type of deals are always massive risks. For the non-Citys, these type of deals are massive gambles. If it goes wrong, it goes really wrong.
I’d want to know what sort of output he can yield for Liverpool to be able to judge the price tag.
Can he beat Ødegaard’s best season so far for Arsenal? (15g/7a).
I don’t know if he’s really worth the money… He does look brilliant in the Bundassliga, unlike Sesko. If Sesko is worth around 80, this guy is surely worth the double of you want to look at it that way.
Anyways, a massive sign of ambition from Liverpool. Shows they really want to stay at the top.
A player who was heavily linked to Bayern, City Madrid, the top dogs, ends up at Liverpool. It is a statement signing, in one hand, for sure.
A big risk at such a fee, but seems they indetified him as a top talent and just went for it.
This is as close to De Bruyne to Man City as it gets in the current market.
They have made the best in class acquisition for a creative attacking midfielder.
I rate Wirtz but I think you can actually ask some questions about his final third production in the Bundesliga, just as people do with Sesko. He has nowhere near the level of g+a that players like Nkunku, Sancho, and Mkitaryan had in their standout seasons there in similar roles in their teams. He was also substantially less productive than players like Marmoush and Olise this year that we’ve seen in the PL very recently.
That doesn’t mean he’ll flop by any means - he’s a good player for sure- but if Marmoush and Olise were 60-70m it’s fair to wonder what makes Wirtz worth 150m.
My gut feeling tells me he’ll flop
That Rory guy is an unbearable twat. He’s also a chav cunt which is a large contributor to the above assertion.
He milks money for something I do for free on this forum i.e. being a twat
I should also monetize my twattings
