Liverpool Vs Arsenal (Premier League) 2-2

Hope there’s no surprise appearance on Sunday. Man can cause terror even when he’s rusty.

Also his work rate and chaos he creates with his movement. Not to forget his defensive work helping the left back and also his pressing when we lose the ball

It’s time , long overdue, that we turn up and shake Anfield’s foundations and come away with a stunning victory.
Let’s make a statement on Sunday.
Jesus and Trossard to deliver the goods , two quick aggressive goals .
Let’s get up there , get the job done and get home .
Then it’ll be time to open top bus out .

Fucking hell, the last time we beat them at Anfield is more than 10 years ago and we had Diaby, Podolski and Cazorla in the starting line.

Yeah I just don’t have faith in us to pick up the 3 points this weekend. Liverpool still seem to be real good at home.

I think it’s a case of anything can happen honestly.

You’ve got a Liverpool team that are really good at home.

An Arsenal team that have 72 points from 29 games and that are really good period.

Probably why I’m tipping an exciting draw.

There a few things that give me a glimmer of hope:

A.) Our away form is better than our home form
B.) we beat them earlier this season
C.) home form regardless, their midfield is old and we should overrun them there no problem
D.) Football hoodoo says we’re due a win, as it’s been 10 years

Yep We’re the best away team in the league by quite a distance. Only conceded 9 goals on the road. Sure Liverpool have been better at home than away, but they’re still Liverpool. We’re a better team than them this season.

Yeah exactly.

Their defence is past it - VVD is a dead man walking and Trent can’t defend if his life depended on it.

Their midfield is woeful and have barely turned up this season.

They’ll have the 12th man and the football gods love Jota and Firmino scoring against us, but this Arsenal team is a different gravy to the teams of the last 10 years.

I start feeling a bit queasy every time I think about this match for more than a minute or two.

Can we just fucking fast forward to Sunday please? Too early in the week to have my stomach tied in knots ffs

We need three goals to win. Question is, will Arteta send us out 100mph to get the early goal or do we try to weather the early Anfield storm.

Additionally, I want to say that Liverpool’s past key strength of relentless high speed pressing really seems to have fallen off a cliff this season.

Henderson, Fabinho and Elliott don’t seem up to the task of pressing like that anymore which was usually their ace in the hole.

Odegaard, Xhaka, Zinchenko and Partey press like animals and press even harder than Liverpool do not to mention that they outclass them technically as well.

I think we should go for shock and awe, and just blitz them. Assert ourselves early on with a goal or two and have their heads drop.

If we show them too much respect the crowd will get behind them and they might grow into the game which we can’t allow.

Agree.

People harp on about the 7-0 but forget that United were well in the game in the first half.

Wonder if Arteta will play Anfield crowd music on the training pitch again

Think Fabinho is another guy we should be targeting, he’s a walking card and getting him in the book early could be key. He either goes on and gets a red or he has to be more careful from then on.

He’s looked shot in the games I’ve watched him play but you just know he’ll turn in a worldy against us. Hopefully won’t be the case but can just see it coming.
