Barca may not win the league this season, but Messi staying is great news for them

Messi was going to go nowhere.
They really do have to get rid of Griezmann. He’s an absolute nuisance in that team by adding Aguero that is not going to get better. Or Messi needs to be played as number 10 full time and those two upfront.

Re-signing after pushing to go last season suprised me. Thought he’d goto PSG or City and try and win another CL. It’s never happening at Barce. I reckon it’s partly being in the comfort zone.

How can he not want to try somewhere else. I dont understand how the best player ever at this stage doesn’t want to test himself at another club or at least experience something completely different

Just because he wants to doesn’t mean clubs can afford him.
He is at an exhorbitant wages which despite his productivity and brand, will be hard to justify.
PSG, City, Chelsea are about the only clubs who can do it and they have reached CL finals recently.
I am sure his agents looked around and deemed the options were not there for him to make a switch.
Real Madrid must have praised the gods when the bid for Ronaldo came in.
