Leicester City

but this stupid league wants to continue having games behind closed doors, no refunds to ticket holders and no way of anyone watching the games live.

Who have they sold now mate?

Chilwell to Chelsea? 50mil?

They’ve sold well, getting top prices for their best players. They sold Kante, Mahrez, Maguire and Chilwell for around 200m, which is way better than what we would have done.

We’d have sold Kante for 15m after the saga dragged all summer and Chelsea didn’t want to pay more, done a Mahrez-Nolito swap deal, let Maguire walk on a free and sold Chilwell for 5m after sending him out on loan for a few years. And the thing is, I probably wouldn’t have been really surprised either if that actually had happened.

The one we should have signed instead?

Good god it’s Gervinho and Hazard all over again.

Leicester get their teenage CB from Etienne and put him straight in the side against PL opposition where he has a great game while we’re considering whether we should send Salbia back to Etienne for a second season or down to the Championship

Fucking typical Arsenal bullshit.

Don’t ever change guys

Only reason he got a game is because they were practically decimated defensively, also when Soyuncu initially joined he barely played for a whole season.

Nothing to see here.

In what respect?

With Hazard we couldn’t afford/attract him and went for the cheaper option that we could secure. Here we moved first and signed the player we wanted for a significant fee.

Cristo being over dramatic again (sorry mate) haha

OVER DRAMATIC ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH?!

In the sense that we went for the wrong player from a team.

I was under the impression that we could afford Hazard and could have landed him but didn’t want to spend the money and went for Gervinho instead.

Leicester have landed a player who’s ready to play in the prem, we’ve landed a player we have to loan back to Ligue 1 for the second year running.

Hazard has his pick of Europe and went for Champions League winners Chelsea, so I’m not sure how he was meant to be attainable for us at that point. We can argue the finances back and forth about what we could truly afford but the moves we were making in the market indicate that we weren’t in the position to be paying ober thirty million for him. And besides, whether we could afford him was negated by not being able to attract him as I said.

Did you even watch the Leicester match to make the judgement that we signed the wrong player after one appearance? Far too early to say we signed the wrong player, I’m not sure there’s enough evidence to base that on at the moment unless you’ve been watching St Etienne last season to see them both play.

I’m just knee jerking because I’m frustrated.

Leicester play their new signing and he plays a fantastic game.

Man City play their new signing and beat us.

In the mean time, we keep our brand new star signing in Partey on the bench, consider sending our 18 year old wonder kid who cost £30m out on loan for a second time in 2 seasons, persisting with bullshit like Auba oop on the left, Tierney at LCB instead of his favoured position at LB/LWB when we could play Gabriel at LCB, Willian as a fucking false 9 CF etc. etc.

I’m just so frustrated.

Why can’t we play Saliba and Partey and have them both play blinders? That’s what we bought them for, especially Partey. He’s a ready made CM, in great form and fitness. Should have just dropped him in.
