Lovely lineup.
Worked perfectly.

Dunno how you chaps do it, woke up at 4…watched 20 mins and fell asleep
I’m in Taupo at the moment, making our way down to Wellington and then to Christchurch to start a tour of the South Island. Be here for 3.5 weeks total by the end. Love the country so far, people are ridiculously friendly and helpful.
The Norn Irish love the Arsenal this season
Though it’s kind of amazing the adoration we get from proper footballing people like Pep, Thomas Frank and even that clip there was well considered. Yet the narrative in the media is we are some lucky scrubs with an ADHD manager. Don’t get me wrong I love the salt but it’s weird not to see a little more objective appreciation from a pure footballing stand point.
NZ is absolutely beautiful enjoy mate, I’ve hired a car with the mrs and did North island 2017 and South Island 2019. We had beautiful accommodation overlooking Lake Taupo.
Anyways been doing it for 25 years so my body is well trained now, it was 2am kick off for me so I got a nap in from about 2200-130.
Nice, the South Island is even more beautiful. Don’t know if you are going to the Milford Sound (assume you are) but if not you should, it’s one of the most stunning views on earth.
I will say, NZ is an extremely safe place to be a tourist. Being in the Philippines has sorta hammered that home for me as here I can’t really just go out by myself here etc but in NZ you can literally go basically anywhere at any time and be safe.
Yeah there are a few streets in every city that are probably a bit dodgy but even then it’s ridiculously unlikely you get mugged or anything like that. There’s no “scamming” of tourists and people are extremely helpful.
One thing that is great about NZ is the balance, you get the scenery and a bit of a slower pace than most of the rest of the 1st world but you don’t have the big culture shock you get when visiting other places in the 3rd/developing world.
But it is fucking expensive, which I’m sure you’ve already noticed
I have only observed objective praise everywhere. People, who dismiss or were dismissing our chances, were only being cautious because of City’s strength.
I would be fuming if someone held Ramsdale’s hand so I am completely fine with that decision.
It was clear & obvious to see the impact of Ben White holding the keeper’s hand.
Just watching Match of the Day. Can’t believe the amount of people in here defending the decision to disallow that goal.
That was absolutely not a clear and obvious error by the referee. It was barely a foul. Let alone a clear and obvious foul!
See goals scored all the time where there “might” be a foul in the build up, but it’s still given.
And as I type, we’ve not been given a penalty for a foul that was a bigger touch than the touch for the “foul” that got the goal disallowed. Apparently that was the right decision though.
I agree, if VAR looks hard enough, it will always find something in the build up to almost any goal.
They replayed it on MOTD and just dismissed it as an obvious foul by White on their GK yet the clear foul on Saka for a penalty wasn’t given.
Most nothing incident ever.
The commentary over that “they appear to be having a row over something.” Thanks for that insight! Basically they haven’t got a clue. They could have been debating who the best Friends character is for all they know.
“Arsenal are a club in crisis as they head towards their first league title in 19 years as their two star centre-backs have massive and devastating on pitch fall-out - there is just no coming back from this and I see them coming at best 6th or 7th next season” - Gary Neville
It’s so over.
Guys, I am confused.
Arsenal is a club, and entity… why do we use plural when describing Arsenal?
Sorry, my English is bad.
It’s about whether it’s a singular or plural noun.
If you’re referring to Arsenal as a club it should be singular and therefore use is
But if you’re referring to Arsenal’s players then Arsenal becomes a plural noun and you would use are
e.g Arsenal are playing brilliantly today
We do like to make things difficult
You’re not wrong. I’m sure is is the correct term, but I’m guilty of saying are.
Funnily enough, Wenger was one who used to get this spot on and English wasn’t even his first language
thanks guys… kind of confusing…
Because as @HotCrossGuns said, when saying “Arsenal”, it could be just the club, or players.
but when we describing the performance, it can be also just the club or players…
so, there is no right or wrong then…
anyway… difficult, but thanks.
I’d argue a club cannot perform well on the pitch, only the players can. But I agree it is confusing.
