Wow… there is the “on a free” inflation factor at play… that is insane.
I’ve seen 100k, 140k but never 190k reported. I can’t imagine 190 is correct.
Surely that’s not true ? If it is then this club is even more brain dead than I thought.
Concerned that everyone seems to be suggesting that this is a pretty average option. Tierney looks fantastic from what I have seen of him, just hope the injury goes away so he can remain first choice.
Will Kurzawa really be the back up option after leaving PSG?
i saw it on a listing on arsenals wages for the team last year, but this year he is on 100k a week apparently so i dont know if his wages have dropped or the numbers are just crap. There are a lot of sites claiming he is on 190k i dunno but even at 100k a week that is still too much in my eyes.
Kola is on approx 100k.
100k would at least be palatable under “free transfer” inflation.
Basically transfer fees get amortized over length of contract anyway, so a good way to think about it is, for example:
- 4 year contract at 5MM per year
- Transfer fee of 20MM
That basically amounts to 10MM/year total expense on the books.
So a 4 year contract at 10MM per year without transfer fees is exactly equivalent from an expense standpoint.
Obv cashflows are different and obv wage structure and other factors to consider, but it is definitely one contributing factor to say why Aaron Ramsey is paid that ridiculous sum per year. Signing bonus is the other way, but same effect on expense.
Are you summonning me or is that just a weird way to abbreviate ‘Million’?
lol shorthand for millions or at least it used to be… basically a thousand thousands =)
I’m an old guy.
MM or mm is a common abbreviation for millions in finance - more so than mn.
After Saka’s performance last night I would be furious if we wasted any time or money recruiting this guy.
I’d be furious if we dropped our interest in a decent back up left back and thought it would be a good idea to stunt an 18 year old wingers development by playing him as our back up left back.
He’s not decent. He’s trash.
Perfect for Arsenal then
Saka is probably second most promising player out of our current youngster, behind Martinelli
I agree. I’m saying Kurzawa is trash. Maybe that wasn’t clear. Sorry.
I just re read the posts again, you made it clear and I read it wrong
I’ve been staying out of this discussion, but here we go. I don’t doubt his talent, but he got injured and then injured again at a crucial age where he’s supposed to take the next step. This is not what we need. He supposedly has a shit attitude too.
This is not where we should be focusing.
Saka, Tierney, Kolasinac are fine cover until seasons end.
Do.
Not.
Want.
