Kai Havertz (29)

The deadline for Chelsea to sell players is approaching. It’s going to be like ebay on 30th June.

What’d I miss? Transfer ban going into effect?

I’m not going to judge a player on one stint at a disjointed team. Outside of Chelsea he has looked good. Even at Chelsea he has had spells where you can see there is a player there.

I’m not desperate for him or anything and if we don’t get him I won’t be bothered. But I think some people are being overly harsh.

all their attacking players are shit if just evaluate their Chelsea performance.

I just don’t believe Kai, Felix, Mudryk are all shit…

I mean we already have ESR who performed at a higer level last season compared to anything Havertz has done at Chelsea. We’re about to sign Nelson to a £100k deal too, these guys are pieces that have already contributed and aren’t even starters. Fabio Vieira also isn’t a total lost cause either imo despite a rough first season. We knew he wasn’t oven ready before he signed.

I dont see the value adding Kai, there’s nothing particularly exceptional about his abilities that makes him a must buy. Doesn’t strike me as the type of player who’d be satisfied with a rotational role either. Seems like a very unnecessarily indulgent signing

This is what you guys want? JUST LOOK AT THIS FFS !

You sound like that grumpy old fuck at the end of the bar who does nothing but bitch under their breath about “Godamned kids these days…”

I don’t think either ESR or Nelson has shown the ability to play on the right at a high level, either on the wing or as the attacking midfielder on that side, and Vieira just seems like at best a complete gamble for next year and at worst a bust that is better to fail fast with than to give more chances.

This is better:

the head looks more like from AI product…

come on

Yikes. Poor guy is not going to be involved in any samba celebrations after goals.

Just what a HAVERTZ LOVER would write.

I don’t like the idea that we are makin it easy to sign Caicedo by doing this

But I also do like tofu burgers @Joshua

Or, plot twist - we are playing 3d chess. Chelsea need the Havertz money to buy Moises and we’re stringing them along.

Sadly, they’ll sell Colwill to Brighton and take Caicedo.

No, unfortunately not. It’s appears the clown in charge of Chelsea messed-up the FFP. I’ve heard it said on The Athletic (I think) that they may have to rake in £100-150m in transfer fees before the new FFP year starts in July.

Colwill, Loftus-Cheek, Ziyech, Kovacic and Pulisic probably get them over 120. They’ll be fine.

Yep, Rice and Havertz our two big moves for the summer. No way we get another big signing on top of those two and all the renewals.

Rice to play DM and Havertz #8/#10.

Hope they’re both here by the time we head out for the US tour.

People always say this but in some fashion it is. Season ticket prices are up, merchandise more expensive, half time food more expensive.

Now an extra quid per pizza slice ain’t paying for Havertz and I’m sure most comes from elsewhere but it’s not like we don’t get impacted by the club spending more and more money.

I’ll always care about the cost of a player, from a perceived value I have of them and from the overall club finances perspective.

Then let’s hope that the club are waiting until the auction is about to close rather than hitting the absurdly high buy it now button.

This guy might be a value at half of the quoted price of the twitter links in this thread.

Honestly? Id take Havertz. Yeah he’s been a bit under the radar for Chelsea but you have to remember in 2 seasons he’s played under 3 different managers. I more than trust Arteta here. And he is incredible for Germany, the talent is definitely there
