He’s got some engine in him. Starting from left back, tucking into midfield and then joining up the forwards.
Had a great chance in the end where he controlled a long ball with his chest and then banged it with his right but unluckily for him was blocked by Turkish player.
I did not watch it, but is it possible that Nagelsmann is using him as an inverted full back, but because Germany is expected to dominate the possession so Kai will move up as a CM, which he offers size and tackles and additional skills that normal CM and CDM does not possess?

Yeah, Nagelsmann explained it before the match.
He wasn’t really a left back. You’d find him there only when they were defending. He was tucking into the midfield during the build-up and then joined up with the other forwards in the box.
