150m and 300k a week? I rate Bellingham, but not to that degree. We can get 2 of Rice, Tielemanns, DeJong or SMS for pretty much what Bellingham would cost and it would be a better investment.

Arsenal are admirers of Jude Bellingham but his Ā£150m price tag will probably be just out of their price range as they search for a new central midfielder this summer.
Only Chelsea would be stupid enough to pay that sort of money and if heās 150m, then Saka is 200m.
For less money we could get Rice and Maddison.
Heāll also want Aubameyang level wages, which is ridiculous for a player who isnāt established at the top level.

Yeah, the whole operation will be supremely expensive, especially with whoās involved in the race.
One of those deals like Haalamd that whatās out there in the public wonāt truly reflect how expensive a move it will be.
Whoever buys him will probably handicap themselves for any further business.

Ā£150m is outside the budget of every English club now surely? That kind of money is around 50% more than the current British transfer record (Enzo).
Iād like to believe that Chelsea have spent their war chest already. FFP is a joke but without CL football, it would be laughable for them to spend another Ā£150m.
It would be insanely poor PR for City to buy him for that price when standing accused of financial doping.
United are the only team who would stretch that far because they have a desperate need. But can they afford it either?
I know we wonāt spend that kind of money, Newcastle donāt have the prestige (yet) and Liverpool again donāt have that kind of money atm.
Canāt see him ending up anywhere but England. So will be really interesting to see when and what he eventually goes for.

The piece does mention that things have changed recently. Not long ago it was between City, Madrid and Liverpool but Man Utd are back in.

Thatās where I think he will go now that City are under scrutiny. Their midfield is old af and I could easily see them fronting Ā£100+m to freshen it up.

Jude is 19 but Rice is also relatively young at 23.
Strange thing is heād more than likely be good value for Ā£150m, whether he plays for a club for 10+ years, or even just for 4/5 years and is sold on for a similar amount or more.
Point is most clubs just canāt afford it

The choice is between:
A potentially very good young player whoās never played in the PL.
Or two top PL experienced, young players for positions we need quality in.
Is Bellingham that good he could potentially break the European transfer record?
If we are interested in him, it would take all of our budget to get him, which would leave us short in other positions.
I also think both Maddison and Rice want to come here and would be cheaper.

Liverpool were never gonna get him after the season theyāve just had.
Weād have a better chance of signing him.
Hope he goes to Real Madrid, would be nice to have a young English player at such a high profile club.
