These motherfuckers just can’t produce any homegrown player anymore…
Since Raul… (and/or Guti)… they just fucking buy everywhere.

hope they got bankrupt.

What a player, one of my faves. Great head of hair too. I rocked the thin headband (I think you guys call them alice bands for some reason) trying to be like him. Thankfully there are no pictures.

elegant player

Pedri and Gavi can play a bit and if Fati wasn’t made out of glass, he’d be a star.

You’re right though, that golden generation seems a long time ago.

Nice, he loves Zidane so I half expected him to take #5.

5 is somewhat bearable for a CM. I’d imagine this is his number for his entire time there now.

Mbappe to take the 9 initially then switch to 10 when Modric leaves.

I like this mentality

Is he even fluent in German? Haven’t been able to find any videos of him doing German interviews. Wouldn’t be surprised if they all just spoke English to him when he was there lol

He’s probably gonna be in Spain for a good 10 years or so now so plenty of time and exposure to learn it.

Then again, Beckham was still pretty bad at the time he left Madrid lol

In fairness, it’s really easy to live in Germany and not know a word of German

I still can’t get past the fact that he’s still only 19 (NINETEEN).

Was always thinking he was at least two years older…

Madrid got a hell of a deal considering the current market.

What are people’s expectation’s for Bellingham? Can he become one of the greatest English midfielders?

I think he can mate

He proved he can go far playing with England recently. He has everything.

I hope he returns to the PL one day.

I don’t understand how playing for Madrid is a bigger challenge.

Maybe, maybe Madrid is the biggest club, but the PL is the toughest league

If he wants a bigger challenge, PL is the choice.
Going to Madrid is an easier route for me.

Yer I get that, half agree too

I think its the status of the club, Madrid is huge and has a pull for all players
When they come calling players do not say no

Pressure as a player at Real is perhaps bigger than it as in the PL and they’re in the midst of a rebuild now, that’s definitely a good challenge.

It is not an easy option really especially when you consider just winning La Liga isn’t enough there.

All the talk of the PL being the toughest league may be true but at its heart it’s turned into a one team league and isn’t far off of being the Bundesliga in that respect when it comes to competing for the top prize.

So he’s a glory hunter basically.

I also can’t believe we’re spending similar amounts/more on Declan Rice, when this guy was available

I don’t think he’ll stay at Madrid very long, he’s so young I can see him moving on in about 3-4 years. Unless he ends up being a world beater.

Liverpool fans were going crazy for him so I can’t imagine they’re taking the rejection very well. Every club gets put in their place once in a while and Madrid proven to be the bigger fish.
