I remember thinking it was silly when Birmingham retired his number after his move to Dortmund. Doesn’t look so stupid now.
Is it possible the best English midfielder of his generation never plays meaningful club football in England? Could see him going from Madrid to Italy or back to Germany.

Id hope, with him he wants to come back and compete at a top club in the Premier League, considering hes English and grew up playing here.
If it were me and him leaving for Dortmund and now Madrid id feel that something is missing if I didnt play in the PL
