Jack Wilshere

A desperate come and get me plea from Jack there. Such a shame Wenger ran him into the ground with 50 games in his breakout season.

yeah Boris is an OA member

Agree this is no way you want your football career to go out. Even by the statement you can tell he’s really frustrated more than he’s letting on.

I don’t think that’s fair. He’s obviously had his ankles kicked senseless. And Wenger gave him ample time to recover from any injuries to put it mildly.

And he wasn’t the only player from that era to get his ankles kicked into oblivion. It was maybe due to the ball-at-feet approach but while that was how Wenger’s team played, it’s harsh to blame Le Boss.

Besides, Arsenal employ a lot of people that provide fitness and injury advice to the boss. If you point anywhere it is to those in whom Wenger trusted.

It was the whole ā€˜they don’t like it up their Arsenal’ theory. We had Diaby, Wilshere, Eduardo, Ramsey pretty much destroyed.

Yep. It was absolutely other teams and nothing to do with anything that was Arsenals fault.

Devastating day for @wilshambition

Saddens me immensely to read that.

A real shame about Wilshere, had so much potential and should have been captain right now if it wasn’t for the injuries. A move to the championship will probably be tough for someone with his injury record, it’s a tough battle in that league. I think a move to MLS or a easier less intense league would be the best place for him. Wasn’t he a fan of West Ham growing up too, I read a stat he only played 19 games over his time there. At 28 just saddens you.

Can’t believe he’s only 28.

That’s a real tough read, fuck. Really wish him nothing but the best.

:arteta: :joy: should really change this username.

Fucking shame about Jack, reckon anyone throws him a lifeline ?

Should pull a Flamini and come train with us.

He should take a leaf out of Santi’s book and spend a couple of years playing in Spain. Can definitely see a Villarreal or the likes throwing him a half decent contract and him doing a job if he can retain fitness.

It’s actually a really good idea he’d kill it here.

He’d destroy it in a league where you don’t have Diers of the world trying to break your ankles.

I’m sure he get a chance at a Championship side. But I think maybe getting out of the English league and giving it a try at a mid table side in Europe might be the best plan for him. I think he could do it for a team in Spain or France as long as he stays injury free. But the day’s of him playing in the PL are long gone.

I think it’s actually a myth nowadays that the MLS is an easy league where anyone could make it.

Having said that, he’ll obviously end up at Inter Miami.

I really hope for him he ends up getting a good contract somewhere like that and can spend a few years having fun with football again without all the baggage of playing in the UK and our media.

Maybe Beckham can take him under his wing.
