Jack Grealish

Expected…

Happy for Grealish… it is just a waste if he stays at Villa… time for him to win something.

Also a good news for us… now we have a better chance to beat them.

Would this free up.Maddison for Villa?

Seems quite a step-down for Maddison, why would he bother?

Exactly what I said to a Villa fan mate who was goading me lol.

Both Arsenal and Villa are a step down for Mads as we speak, unfortunately.

Moving to Arsenal from any of other 14 PL clubs is not a step down lol

Greedy little overrated C**T
How is he worth 100 million?
With the Global pandemic that has crippled small businesses Shity are happy to wipe struggling families and businesses noses in financial shit .
If they proceed and buy Harry Kane for 160 million then the PL will go bust within 5 years

RIP FOOTBALL

well… when there is a buyer, then there is a seller

To blame Villa selling Grealish for 100m, I’d rather question why City is allowed to spend that much.
Zero fair play at all.

Steve Ballmer (NBA) is a billionaire, but he is not allowed to spend whatever he wants…
There should be a salary/spending cap for all teams.

Yep or at least a luxury tax or some kind of method to create balance… ā€œfair playā€ is basically a f*ing joke - punishing the teams that don’t have these whackadoodle ways to subvert it and/or almost no consequence when actually caught. I don’t hold hope for CL or Europe to get it together… this has to be an EPL thing probably.

And yeah, Aston Villa cannot - i repeat CANNOT turn down 100 million for Grealish… he is not worth that much to them, not even half that… with him they compete for 6-10th? Without him and some added investment they compete for 8-12th maybe? That isn’t worth that much difference and this sets them up for long-term investment that is impossible to generate otherwise.

True
But honestly is JG worth 100 million?
That’s a pigging lot of money for someone with rubber ankles .

Yes , they could have turned down 100 million.
Make a stand against these oil rich clubs .
JG could break his leg in the first 20 minutes and that’s a complete waste of money .

Englishmen tax. The tax hit us with Ben White being bought for 50 fucking mil

No, Nobody should have that kind of value, even Messi and Ronaldo.

The whole football world turned into a greedy money laundry machine…

But like @ljungbergkamp said, Villa won’t and shouldn’t turn that down. If you are willing to pay, why should I reject it? It is just the market, unhealthy one.

Seems harsh on him tbh. He could have left sooner, like when they were in the Championship, but instead stayed, was instrumental in getting them back up and last season was instrumental in getting them a very respectable league position. A league position that could have been quite a bit better than respectable had he not got injured.

And now he’s leaving to a club who are willing to pay a British record fee, that spent wisely could not only solidify their status as a PL side, but their status as one of the better sides outside the very biggest clubs. And he appears to have gone about getting his move to a big club in a quiet and professional manner.

I understand why Villa fans will be sad to see him go, but I don’t understand any animosity towards him, he’s not done Villa dirty in the slightest as far as I can tell. I understand even less why an Arsenal fan would be directing animosity his way.

If I was the owner I’d simply, without mincing my words I’d tell City to fuck off .
Make a statement and until this stops football is heading into a very shallow grave and rapidly

Agreed, but what has JG actually done in the game ?
He’ll win stuff at Shitty but is that because of his skill , no , it’s because of the buying power of Sheik MyCock .

He’s played for modern day Villa, what do you expect him to have done in the game beyond what he did?

Him moving to City is what will enable him to potentially do something more significant in the game.
