Seems harsh on him tbh. He could have left sooner, like when they were in the Championship, but instead stayed, was instrumental in getting them back up and last season was instrumental in getting them a very respectable league position. A league position that could have been quite a bit better than respectable had he not got injured.
And now heās leaving to a club who are willing to pay a British record fee, that spent wisely could not only solidify their status as a PL side, but their status as one of the better sides outside the very biggest clubs. And he appears to have gone about getting his move to a big club in a quiet and professional manner.
I understand why Villa fans will be sad to see him go, but I donāt understand any animosity towards him, heās not done Villa dirty in the slightest as far as I can tell. I understand even less why an Arsenal fan would be directing animosity his way.
