They weren’t even trying to win the ball in some of these challenges either which is worse. Dirty pricks.
Pretty much every one of those should have been a booking. Absolutely ridiculous Sideshow Bob wasn’t sent off too. Shocking refereeing performance and ugly performance from Chelsea too.
The tone of this game was set right from the beginning when the pig let two bookable offenses go from cuckoopaella and the other cunt, then immediately booked Zubimendi for a far lesser, and Arsenal’s first, foul.
Good insight here to ref comms. Wish we had an option to hear this instead of commentary.
Kind of going away from goal. Not a clear cut red for me. Seems like moaning for moaning sake again.
Don’t think thats a red at all
This however is a pertinent discussion point…
Surprise surprise, we’re winning today and out comes longer than the standard 4 minutes we’ve been getting ![]()
I thought Barrett was okay for us yesterday, his big decisions for were good for us so I can understand why Everton fans were a little frustrated at times, but their constant appeals for handball came across as desperate and pathetic. The ref ignored it.
-
Gyokeres dive when scoring was easier - not a penalty, he’s got to stop doing that, he’s too big to look convincing when he goes down easily.
-
Saliba’s “kick” should never be a penalty but I’ve seen them given. His eyes were on the ball, both went for the ball.
-
VAR did its job for us on the penalty we were awarded. Ref, changed his mind immediately when he saw it on the screen.
-
Saliba was lucky to escape getting a yellow for pulling down the Everton player and breaking-up an attack.
To be fair I thought he needed quite a few replays when it was very what he needed to do after the first one.
Also I can understand they do not give the Grealish one but I am also sure that he does that on purpose, just something you can’t really prove based on the one angle we saw. But you don’t accidentally step one someones ankle like that.
Yeah, was bizarre why he needed so many views of it when it was clear as day
He nodded on first view and seemed set to walk back on-field but then they kept showing him more angles when, as you say, it was clear as day. Possibly one the easiest VAR calls I’ve seen.
I was 50/50 on Grealish studs incident and wouldn’t have given it if I was “in the middle”. I fucking hate that narky little cunt and would have loved to see the ref give it our way, but from what I remember is he’s facing and walking away and putting his foot down. It was probably deliberate but difficult to prove. I’ll have another look later when I have access to a big screen.
Had to laugh at us suddenly getting a big chunk of injury time when we’re comfortably leading by a big margin ![]()

Seen elsewhere mentioned the ball was in play for just 24 minutes in the first half.
Onana was down injured longer than we got added on.
Martinez allowed to take as long as he liked on goal kicks.
Whole thing is one massive joke.
The Ref was a total joke in that first half and I’m sick and tired of opposition GKs taking ages with goal kicks. All the Refs need to do is give a clear warning first time they do it, and if they do it again, show them a yellow. It would soon put a stop to all this nonsense!
3 mins in the first half was ridiculous. I don’t get why they came out and said they’d police this shit with GKs and then they fucking don’t.
They only police it against certain teams I’ve noticed.
But for poverty stricken, bus parker clubs, they almost never do.
Was at the game, timewasting from minute 1, took until 30+ minutes for the ref to even signal for him to get on with it, at which point he still wastes another 10-15 seconds. How he got away without a yellow is beyond me.
As part of a live crowd, was the most annoyed towards a ref I’ve seen in that first half, and certainly loudest boos I’ve heard towards the ref at half time.
Players rolling around on the floor at any contact, but refusing to go off the pitch (despite the ref telling them to), and then immediately back to their feet.
Signalling to the bench for a sub required and 10 seconds later sprinting to a ball.
Trying to take free kicks/throws from much too far forward, just so the ref would push them back and they could waste another 15 seconds.
Hands in the air next to the ref complaining about decisions but no yellow.
So funny seeing Martinez running to grab new balls in the second half after what he was doing in the first ![]()
