Wouldn’t mind signing Caqueret. Looked so tidy in the CL games that I saw him play. Aouar has so much class plus his North African background makes me root for him even more.

The final negotiatated amount I think could be around the €40-45m region + add ons, which seems alright. Confident we will get him, bar any late hijack which I think is unlikely.
If we get him closer to the €35m that is an absolute steal.

That’s what I mean man, we’re going crazy over some guy who puts out really weak numbers in a weak league.
People keep going on about his ball carrying agility but his feet don’t look “elite” level quick to me. I dunno, just not feeling this as much as other people.
Has anybody got an appraisal / review of him they can share? Other than reports that Pep / Arteta dutch ruddered each other over him a couple of years ago, I know fuck all about this dude.

Hyped as hell - I’d genuinely be interested if anyone has watched him at all… I’ve probably watched 90 minutes total of this guy and not specifically to scout him, so I know f*ck all other than I am desperate for quality in the middle.

While I don’t doubt our man Pepe comes good, I can’t help but feel deep envy when I see Bayern grabbing a Sane for £50mill or whatever and alast week seeing Liverpool snatch Thiago for sub 30. Great players are available if you take the market opportunities, which to be fair to us, we did with Aubameyang when we snatched.
I know what you mean with regards to Aouar. I will say whenever I’ve seen him he looks silky though!
Both of those names were gonna enter the last year of their contract.
On Sane, he had a long term injury and fallen out of favour with Pep before that.
We got Pepe while he was one of the hottest things in football. At the time people had him right behind Mbappe and Neymar in Ligue 1 and his numbers were top class in general for a Top 5 league.
I can see people’s frustration but we saw multiple glimpses of his brilliance last year. Now getting accustomed in the league and our team should allow for him to be more consistent. Gotta give him this season as well. He earned it, unlike some other Frenchman in North London.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just thought by using outstanding examples it’s easier to get my point understood.
