I think spuds are not as over reliant on him as they once were, but think he took them along way forward to were they are now.
He is a very good striker but not the most effective off the ball.
I still think it was a travesty that he won the golden ball at the World Cup. Worst winner ever given the nature of the goals he scored.
James Rodriguez and Martial
Xavi
Ooh that’s certainly an unpopular opinion mate.
Wow that’s an interesting choice!
Blasphemy
I don’t see any mentions of Thomas Müller. Has he been completely forgotten?
Nah, everyone hates him, so he’s not actually over rated
You’d be surprised.
In 2014, Müller was ranked the fifth-best footballer in the world by The Guardian .
But that was a long time ago.
Roberto Carlos the odd free kick aside he wasn’t much of a defender for me.
Odd free kick being the key. So often I’ve seen his name mentioned in lists of great free kick takers and it’s like, nah, you just saw him score that outrageous one in a glorified friendly vs France.
Julio Baptista, he was shocking
Hulk…yes he was a massive guy, but he was slow blundering and didnt score anything amazing but because he was called hulk he was some sorta beast to be feared but to me he was just meh.
Was he highly rated though? Maybe when he was very young.
Evra was average for me
Liked telling the world how brilliant he was though…average with a big fat mouth, guy is a grade a prick.
Evra was quality though. Never been replaced.
Ummmm, you do realise whose thread you are commenting in, right?!
Gonna be hell to pay for you boys
