I think it might be the worst premier league transfer ever based on what both clubs got from it. Certainly the worst swap deal.

He was good at Dortmund. Model worked fine for them. Bought cheap, sold him on.
Can remember Kagawa bedazzled everyone as well at Dortmund, came to United and everyone complained.
Sometimes it just doesn’t work for a plethora of reasons.
Same way many people complain at Chelsea regarding Ziyech.
Somehow he played very well at Ajax, went to the final of the EL and the Semi Final of the CL. And at Chelsea he struggles (recently actually he is doing well).
It’s not just the player. It’s the club, its system, coach, style of play etc. as well.

Yeah I was reading an article about how Ziyech has been used as part of a 3-4-3 and is expected to cut into central areas but on the weekend he was back to hugging the touch line and produced his best performance for Chelsea.

Attacking midfielders are often victims of it but didn’t Ziyech mostly played central midfield for Ajax?
