Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Since he is Armenian I guess he’ll stay bald

Can you explain this? I genuinely don’t know why this would be the case.

Armenian genocide of 1,5 million Armenians by the hands of Ottoman Turks. (And systematically denied by the Turkish governments.)

Not many Armenians would go to Turkey for that reason.

My wife is half Armenian and that side of her family made it abundantly clear to me.

I was thinking there was some cultural reason Armenians like to stay bald so that makes a lot more sense.

That being 7 years ago already is wild. Girouds as well. Has there been a goal like that scored since in the premier league?

This guy was so inconsistent.

He was was very frustrating. The ability was there but just couldn’t cut it in the league.

I very shamefully have a Mkhitaryan puma blue away kit somewhere in my house. I’ve worn it twice. Once to watch a match which we dropped points and once to the gym. Horrible looking kit too. Bought it on clearance.

Quite astounding to see what he achieved after leaving us, when it appeared he’s done at the top level. Interesting to compare that to Ramsey who left at the same time with some big expectations from Juve fans and has done nothing (obviously injuries played a role, among other things) and you feel retired years ago.
While Mkhi left a great impression both at Roma and Inter.

36 and still playing an important role in this Inter and obviously has big trust from Inzaghi.

Very happy to see this. Was a fan since his Shakhtar days and wanted him here at the time. Was so disappointed when it didn’t work out when we got him years later.

Fitness wasn’t an issue obviously

For real? Ramsey and Walcott are the most overrated players from Arsenal 2012-2020. By far. It they really had big expectations they’ve done that too themselves.

If Ramsey wasn’t injured, and Mkhitaryan wasn’t barred from Baku, we would have won that Europa League final

That’s a very bold claim, what do you think changes with them?

If I recall our defending was absolutely atrocious in that final.

Özil was a walking corpse in that final. With Ramsey and Mkhitaryan you can at least trust them to provide a bit of energy in the midfield.

Cech dropped a stinker from what I can remember. Have never watched even the highlights of that night.

Hazard was unbelievable that day but I do remember being bummed Mkhi(who I wasn’t a big fan to being with) was missing out.
If I recall correctly he found some form in the weeks leading up to that final.
