Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Mental midget.

Glad we got him off the books.

He was a fraud here and couldn’t hack it, he can win the golden boot there afaic.

Not necessarily, maybe he is just better suited to Serie A

It’s not a league issue with him. It’s totally down to the pressure and how he struggles to deal with it.

He had awful seasons at Dortmund too, then he came to United and Arsenal and stunk up the joint.

When the pressure and expectation is off, he is more than capable of being a top quality player.

Got him off the books and spent the money on Willian :sunglasses:.

Outta the frying pan and into the fire :pepe1:

Another assist today apparently, really could put up some top quality numbers this season.

Has 13 goal involvements in the league already, which is more goals than we’ve scored.

Why so obsessed with a thin haired fraud?

I just find it a mixture of hilarious/ sad that he can do what he did at United / us then go to Serie A and flat out ball.

Even at us though I’d take him 3 x above Willian, at least he had good games here and there.

The Armenian fraud also only had 1 year to run which shits all over Willians 3.

But he failed miserably at us game after game. We should be happy we even got him off the books. And BTW Seria a is a joke of a league.

No point getting him off the books when you give Willian a 3 year deal.

I’d argue his average performance level was better than Willian’s has been

Willian like the rest of the side is in a totally dysfunctional system with no real position being given.
Willian seems to be the go too scapegoat when there’s plenty in no form or struggling in this shit system.
Pepe, Elnehyny, Dani, Laca, Xhaka etc what have we seen from any of them. Auba has been criticised. Im not getting it. I feel it’s the Chelsea link pushing him too the top of the crap list.

Wage plays a part also, you expect more from your highest paid players.

In a dysfunctional set up you can’t. Obviously it’s why Ozil, Pepe, Laca get most stick over the last couple of seasons though.

I’d say its also some of us feeling vindicated after effectively being told we were idiots because he got two assists in his first league game for us against Fulham.

It’s classic forum stuff really, there were two camps with divided opinions and we’re all entrenched in our opinions. Those of us who didn’t want to sign him are feeling vindicated, those who thought signing him was a good idea are still making excuses for him (with some measure of justification, tbf).

Yea maybe we would have gained 0.5 points more at this stage had we had Henrik Balditarian instead of Willy.

Just shows how low a level serie a might be these days.

Middle-aged Ibra outshone by Carlos Vela in the MLS, now king of Serie A. Tragic.

This is number 1 bullshit bro. Ibrahimovic scored 52 goals in 56 games for LA Galaxy. They both had pretty solid 2019 seasons. Zlatan 30 in 29 games, Vela 34 in 31 games. Zlatan definitely wasn’t outshone by Vela.

For sure Vela is not going to have the same impact that Zlatan has if you’d put him in his shoes at Milan. The fact that he went to the US aged 29 says enough about the difference in mentality for example.

Nonsense bro. Mkhitaryan is a proven quality talent who just doesn’t have the mental fortitude to be successful in high pressure environments.

If this was Roma circa-Spalletti days when they were challenging for a title and under immense pressure he’d be shit.

The Serie A has some good teams in it. It’s far from a dross league right now it’s probably the most competitive in Europe over the last few years.
