You can gain some nice lean mass mate even over lockdown. Depends on what equipment you’ve got I guess.

No resistance bands, would happily get some as well as kettlebells if supply has been built up again in the UK.

Would love to bulk up but I’m just terrified of putting on any dirty mass now or even gaining weight in general as this is the first time in ages I haven’t felt fat haha

I guess it’s just about being disciplined and making sure I manage it correctly.

If you’re 150lbs you can make decent gains with bodyweight squats, press ups, dips, pull ups. Just progressively increase the numbers, or the speed or the overall volume (ie numerous sets)

There’s some really good banded workouts floating around, especially ones listed by John Meadows online.

If you combined that with a controlled diet, there’s some reasonable gains to be made.

In the 7 weeks of lockdown, I’ve made some great progress and managed to stay in good shape albeit now I’ve got weighted equipment that aids me.

But yeah, with a good set of resistance bands you can effectively perform exercises like:

Banded chest press
Banded press ups
Side lateral raises
Read lateral pulls
Adductors
Leg extensions
Low seated rows
Lat pull downs
Bicep curls
Triceps extensions

@Cristo got my skipping up to blocks of between 50 to 100. Looking for some advice on a good rope now mate. What do you use.

Nice one!

Might take a little while to get used to it as it’ll likely be somewhat lighter and faster than your current rope. Bit of a learning curve to adjust your rhythm to it, but once you do you’ll really feel your skill level increase.

If anyone wants resistance bands. Someone from love Island is promoting them every day on their Instagram stories and I’m tempted now :joy: seem a good way to get excercise

I seen her advertise them every day and never thought of buying them until about 30 minutes ago :joy: Just goes to show if you see something every day you eventually buy it :joy: as after looking at them constantly you get used to them and think they actually look good for exercise.
