Gabriel Jesus (9)

I think this will be very close, could go either way nice poll.

Went for the over.

I don’t love the move but @Stroller has convinced me that there has to be something else in the works to maximize his ability. Maybe it’s an additional midfielder, maybe it’s a change in shape, we don’t know yet.

But we’re lead to believe the club had him earmarked since last winter as a signing, they have to have a plan. No more of this bullshit like signing Aubameyang without a plan.

Also gone over but only because if we do sign him I’d expect him to play 90% of games while Eddie collects his paycheck on the bench.

A quality midfield signing would really increase my hopes for any striker that comes in. Someone who can actually move the ball (please give me 400 year old Santi over any of our midfield).

@Phoebica didn’t you say the transfer window hadn’t officially opened yet? (That was a few days ago, mind you)

That could be the only (and main) reason behind the delay, I hope.

It opened yesterday I think, people are saying we won’t announce Jesus until City officially announce Haaland, sounds like rubbish but who knows.

This is basically the announcement :joy:

City should be docked points for trying to sign a child. Boot them out of the CL.

He might be a bit young and a bit small but he’s still better than any striker we’ve got. :grinning:

I wonder if Roy Keane will praise him in a post-match analysis after a Man City game

Roy Keane is the only player Roy Keane ever really praises. The only ā€œhard manā€ of football that went crying to the ref all the time.

It’s funny how a number of players he tried to intimidate weren’t actually scared of him.

Shearer and Paddy come to mind. Haaland as well, of course.

That’s the inherent weakness in this so called structure.

These guys aren’t the caliber of Salah, Mane et al

If you’re going to have that as your blueprint then you need killers in the attack and we don’t even have one let alone two.

Love a good tifo video. Doesn’t make me feel any better about signing Jesus if we’re only bringing him and Tielemans in. Still not sure where the goals are coming from.

why do people insist we are only looking at Jesus and Tielemans, do you honestly think that would be our only transfers after clearing our decks. Why don’t people just wait and see who we have before next season instead of thinking they are spitting facts about our transfer dealings when it will come apparent later on who we have signed. We will be bringing in more than 2 players pretty much 100% sure of it. We have brought in Marquinos so if we just added those 2 we would be at 3 signings and I am sure that is just the beginning.

Most people are expecting Martinelli to have a break out year next season and make LW spot his own ie 13+ league goals

I think we need a new left winger tbh

I think that’s what most people want to happen. I’m not sure it’s what most think will happen.

That’s fair, In terms of scoring more as a side I think it’s really important to understand how bad Auba and Laca were last season

It’s a small sample but the system looked better offensively with Eddie leading the line.

I think Ode, Saka, and Gabi will all improve their goal return with Jesus and tielemans contributing in their own right too

All the reports being leaked right now are that there are two priority targets.

I’m just going off of the info out there.
