Not my job to scout for the club, but I am sure that you can upgrade on that chucklefuck Xhaka for £25M.
Good old “not my job”.
Seeing it thrown around very often these days. It certainly doesn’t help your point or anyone who has used it lately.
I like to believe that those that are paid to scout have better resources than graphs made by random Twitter nerds.
Bit of a cop out argument the whole “not my job”. If you’re not actually sure that you can upgrade on a player for a set price then you shouldn’t really say it.
I don’t rate Tielemans but £25m for a player of his experience and quality is absolutely a bargain
It’s not their job to criticise literally every thing the club does but that doesn’t stop them
How about Tchoumeni’s French international midfield partner
So according to you Xhaka is not worth £35M, but also there is only one player worth £25-30M that is an upgrade on him?
these would be the same people that would be whining £25m for Tielemans he could have walked right into our midfield at that price and we let him slip through our fingers WHAT ARE WE DOING?!!!
Has @Bl1nk made an official players thread for Jesus yet?
I guarantee you that I won’t be whining if we don’t sign Tielemans for £25M. If I ever do then you are free to point that out.
I literally never said that lol
tielemans at £25m is a very good buy, i dont see the issue tbh.
I personally don’t think we need an 8 tbh, I think we need a destroyer sitting in midfield if anything. Plenty of names I could rattle off who’d do a job under £25m
I have no issue with signing Tielemans and the fee is below market but we’re approaching Aouar levels of delusion in thinking this guy is going to be something special
25 unread posts. Was hoping for a meaningful update
I disagree but I think that’s a totally reasonable perspective.
He’s probably not a bad player to get like my posts are making it out to be, but I disagree that it is a given that he is going to be a good signing. Paying £70M for him and Jesus on the last year of their contract certainly isn’t a bargain.
Jesus deal close and we’ve already completed the signing of Yakubu
Jesus for around 45 mill is about right, only once has he hit 20 goals in all comps and never hit 15 in the league. But he’s a good modern day presser, versatile and good at combination play. Certainly not a bargain but about right.
Tielemans for 25 mill is about right also, has his good attributes but also some pretty poor flaws that won’t be improving.
I’d agree @BigWeng_4LYFE I’d say Guen for 7 mill is a bargain when you look at CM’s.
£45M for a PL striker that has great all round attributes is good value. The equivalent is paying double the price for guys that have posted similar numbers in Portugal and Italy. I’m sure the same people would be hounding the club for spunking money for such players.
The sad thing is, we haven’t even bought anyone of these guys mentioned yet and everyone has a speech ready to slander them after a dodgy performance.
£25m for a player with good PL experience like Tielemans would be a very good buy, and agree with others that I’m not sure you could get someone of his quality for less money.
References to Guendouzi are just foolish nonsense…he was given an opportunity at Arsenal and he blew it. We don’t need players with attitude problems at Arsenal.
I would hope we pay closer to £35m for Gabriel Jesus, but not adverse to paying £40m+ to get the deal done. He would be a very good fit for our new look attack next season and get the regular game time he wants.
