Gabriel Jesus (9)

No the references to Guen are just representing what’s good value for a CM.

7 million quid for a 22 year old French international CM is great value.

Obviously his ego and Arteta’s ego clashed which is a shame.

I was referring to references being made by others on here with ulterior motives.

You cant get quality for less than 25m name someone!

Well that doesnt count, name another! :joy::joy::clap::clap:

I mean is it literally Jesus or bust here. Bit worrying if all the eggs go in one basket. Hopefully like Liverpool Twitter is oblivious and we have an alternative option.
Jesus is okay but it depends what comes with him for me.
He can’t play the traditional role. Definitely not proven and it smacks more of a Welbz signing if we don’t adjust around him.

Spot on.

I think we should deffo be looking at the likes of Dennis or Weghorst for smaller sums in the meantime. Literally one of those “bang for buck” deals, like Giroud.

Suppose my concern with ‘cheaper’ and ‘smaller’ signings is the club downplaying expectations. Edu not setting any expectations was a farce. They’ll do it again.

It’s him and and Pepe’s replacement in attack this window in terms of transfers I reckon.

Well that could still be major and a game changer.

@GC-Maniac @Stroller

What about CM? Possibly LB?

Giroud was one of those deals where you don’t pay for in money but in some other dark and destructive way. He was a full on Needful Things deal if I ever saw one

Well I haven’t given up on Xhaka going yet and still have hopes even if Tielamanns was coming of another midfielder.
Left back yeah I’d still like one in and ideally a RB with pace.
Tomi is too pedestrian for me as a regular starter. More of a utility defender IMO.

Yeah, I was focusing on attack. I think CM is a given.
I can’t see us getting a pure LB with Tavares still here. So like with Pepe, it depends on he’s leaving(even if it’s on loan).

City: £50m

Arsenal: don’t be a dick we’ve sold you better players for cheaper

City: fair enough £40m

Chelsea target Gabriel Jesus

Chelsea are looking to line up a replacement for Lukaku this summer and have identified Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus as a candidate.

The Blues are already considering making an offer for the 25-year-old Brazil international.

Nizaar Kinsella too. :grimacing:

Good thing we have a list of alternatives, right Edu?

Edu?

Hello?

Looool man Edu had that deal signed up in January before people even realized Jesus was on the cards.

Now I’m no Edu fan but the man knows two things, how to tie down stray Brazilians and BBQs, and it ain’t BBQ season in the UK yet.

Or ever really

City seeing Chelsea as competitors for the save? :sob:
Come on Txiki, help us out here.

Fabrizio Romano sez Gabriel Jesus would like to stay in the PL and Arsenal have him as a priority target. I’m supposed to be excited over this, like some groundbreaking development?

I’m not going to reduce myself as an Arsenal fan to gagging over Gabriel Jesus maybe joining this club. If he joins I will not be much more than lukewarm, he will still have a lot to prove.
