Gabriel Jesus (9)

Jesus is just useful as a backup on the wings.

Trossard should have been moved central.

I refuse to believe that. We are talking about a ball dinked over the top, had it been a pinged delivery then fair. This isn’t a kookaburra ball.

He overcomplicated the situation in his head and lapsed out.

You need to stop making excuses for Jesus man

Is there a replay somewhere? It looked to me that the ball unexpectedly slowed down while it was in the air because of the wind and he was too slow to react.
My commentator thought the same.

He should’ve been more alert though, I’d give you that. Put a killer in that situation, he gets a touch at the very least. I’d argue even Havertz gets a touch of that.

He’s basically fucking useless to us. Need to get rid of him and replace him with someone who can actually contribute meaningfully.

Good thing about last season is that he still made an impact. He was only behind Saka when it came down to G/A p90.
So him coming off the bench was still an asset.

He’s nowhere near that currently. Confidence is in the gutter. Must’ve sunk in for him that he’s lost his starting spot for good.

Hard to see him recapturing his form from last season, let alone pre-WC 22.
Tough to see Sterling go in January due to the nature of his deal, but I think it is worth exploring options for Jesus.

who goes through on goal and then just decides to stop, utter fraud and coward. Pep knew what these clowns we got from mancity were about. Zinny, Jesus and Sterling can get in the bin…and please never get any of their players ever again.

His performances are really starting to feel like sabotage at this point.

Getting a real Auba 2.0 vibe in attitude and overall disinterest in being here ever since Havertz became the preferred option.

Get him out asap.

Thanks for the first year Gabriel but it’s all been down hill from there. And please take Martinelli with you when you go.

He was declining as a goal scorer before signing with us but now he isn’t the same level physically, sharpness particularly in attacking actions has dropped

He was a decent-good bridge signing but its over

Hopefully we can get a decent fee where ever he does land

If someone would have told me 2 years ago that Gabriel would end up being a bigger goalscoring threat than Gabriel J, or Gabriel M…

Sorry but he’s not even the best Arsenal #9 of the last 5 years.

We’ll always have those pre-WC 3 months though :broken_heart:

It’s official that #9 shirt is cursed AF.

Should be starting on the left.

I hate how we sign these guys then they turn shit. Wtf

Ā£50m as well. Looked like a bargain at first, now I don’t even know we’d get above Ā£20m for him. Huge L for Arteta.

I dunno about huge L

Clearly injuries have wrecked him

He was a decent stop gap

I’m not going to hold the price against Arteta, forward talent sucks arse in the current era, mediocrity costs a lot.

Was rumoured to be about 10-15m cheaper but then he started banging in goals to end that season, didn’t he get 4 against Watford or something?

On what basis? He hasn’t done enough to justify being more than a rotational piece so far this season.
