Gabriel Jesus (9)

Maybe we tried, but nobody wanted to pay.

How?

I don’t think anyone was really poor today, even Trossard who frustrated me at times.

Everyone involved put a great effort in and helped produce a really good performance, could argue it was our best full performance over 90 minutes this season.

He was rubbish at holding the ball up and I thought his touch and control was often poor. He just isn’t the player that we were supposed to be getting when we signed him. I know you were a huge advocate, but it really hasn’t worked out. Needs to be sold.

I agree in terms of the overall performance, but he was by far the worse player on the pitch for me today.

I’m not sure we have pushed the sale of the player…we had loads ahead of him in the summer that needed to be sold. I’m convinced that he will be out though when he sign a striker.

This must be the third or fourth time you’ve told me this, in this thread too.
The funny thing is (and I’ve told you this before) that he’s going within the next two windows, regardless of how he does, and I think it’s a good call too.

Sorry, I just find him very frustrating to watch. So much technical ability but doesn’t harness it! Any obvious suiters?

Assume you disagree with me on the performance then?

What player were we supposed to be getting? Cos outside of the injuries hampering his run in the team and him building back any form, he’s been exactly the player he was at city.

He wasn’t great. Certainly not for his standards. He did his job though.
Overall he was solid. I was more impressed with his off the ball contribution(which I think is a big factor in our game).

I believe it’ll be hard for him to go in January, partly because we would have to replace him.
Unless there’s some major injury or some hard to turn down offer, I don’t see any incomings in January.

I thought we were getting a striker that could bag us 15-20 goals a season…

I don’t think we will sign a striker in January. Neither Gyokeres or Isak are going anywhere in January, so think we will wait until the summer.

I wouldn’t rule out a defender though! Or maybe a cheeky loan deal?

I doubt we sign either next summer. Happy to be wrong though.

I’m hopeful!

First season fired up Jesus before the knees injuries was absolutely electric

Neither Jesus or Zinchenko are really needed anymore BUT when they arrived they were transformational to this team. All the talk was how they lifted the intensity in training and both were very very good initially. Both were great signings at the time, but its also great that the squad moved on…

Still couldn’t finish at his peak lol

This guy is a coward man, get him out of my club asap. How are you contemplating a ball over the top from Rice? That was a crucial chance.

Absolutely pointless bringing him on to the pitch. He offers nothing going forward.

I think the wind played a factor in that, if not it was going straight to Leno without Jesus having a sniff.

Regardless, ghost cameo. Same with Merino and Nwaneri.
I think I counted one good action from each in their cameos.

Need a change when Kai is not offering much.

He should’ve hooked Kai at HT. He seemed to grow into the game, got the assist too.
It was a bad sub imo.

Completely bottled it thinking he’d get clattered by leno
