Gabriel Jesus (9)

That 3rd goal was something United used to score against us.

They did it less than 12 months ago

Called up to replace Antony. All 3 of our boys are now with the national team.

Can’t stop watching that goal.

It was a very special moment being at the Emirates yesterday for those last two goals. Whole load of people in front of me left after Utd scored, before waiting to see it be ruled offside and then missed the Rice and Jesus goals…precisely why I never leave the match until the final whistle has gone!

Shame that clip wasn’t longer. I mean, I was “there” with that. I’ve played it a few times over.

Does Brazil have a shortage of wingers that this waster is getting called in the first place?

Don’t need any knee related setbacks. Just two weeks of mild conditioning work.

I mean Richarlison get caps playing up front. Brazil aren’t what they used to be.

Brazil have been trash for almost 20 years now. They’re not a threat to any well drilled team.

Vinicius, Neymar, Martinelli and Jesus are all brilliant players individually.

But they don’t hold a candle compared to Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka.

Nowadays they’re filled with primadonnas who’re all style no substance…Aubameyang types like Richarlison.

If someone like Pep or Mourinho managed them, they’d probably get mighty close though, cause the talent is definitely still there.

I don’t think they have nearly as much style as the old Brazil national team.

Most of the Brazilian players I see are more efficient but lack that Ronaldinho flair. Richarlison is a great example of a boring player that ticks off some stats categories.

Yups, though I’d describe Richarlison as a TikTok footballer .

He’s like Balotelli from his Man City / Mancini days.

Yeah the current crop of Brazil players (and the last 10 years for that matter) can’t hold a candle to Brazil of 98/02.

Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Gilberto, Ronaldo etc.

Antony, Vini, Rodrygo, Richarlison, Paqueta etc are a bunch of fucking nobodies compared to them.

I can’t even name Brazil’s midfield or any of their fullbacks anymore. It’s a travesty compared to who they used to be.

Neymar is the only one who really comes close and even then he doesn’t properly deserve to be in the same tier.

He can only wish he was good as Ballotelli at City.

Neymar is absolutely worthy of that tier, absolute top quality footballer… durability though has been his Achilles heel.,

Vinny Jnr is special also.

Yeah but I feel like Neymar’s lack of international success (WC) and going to PSG tarnishes his legacy imo.

Vini is obviously special but he still doesn’t have that same sort of samba flair and vibe to him like R9, Kaka, Ronaldinho etc

Yeah I do agree going to the French league in his prime and mid 20s was so disappointing :pensive:

Think some of their players are getting slightly disrespected here. Maybe on a name recognition front it’s different but in terms of quality on the pitch there’s still a very strong group of players.

Alisson, Ederson, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Casemiro, Neymar, Vini Jr are/have recently been world class players that could compete with and in some cases better the names mentioned in their respective positions.

I can respect him going to PSG to try and step out of Messi’s shadow tbh, his injuries have been very costly.

He will be the top goal scorer for Brazil when it’s all said and done and that’s nothing to sniff at, just hasn’t fallen for him on the international stage for one reason or another.

His legacy is a fine one IMO
