I dislike him because he is a Trump fan or Trumpy.

Anyone who wins the drivers championship deserves it. I find this whole narrative of “being most undeserving” extremely flawed.

Pick any season where the championship has gone down to the wire and you will find incidents where the eventual champion had some luck. Car failure, Safety Car at the wrong time, Red Flag during the qualifying lap etc. Hamilton doesn’t win his first championship if Toyota don’t put Glock on dry weather tyres at the wrong time.

And winning the championship is not about just being the better driver. If that is the case, Max is easily the best driver on the grid. Jenson Button won it with Brawn GP when there were much better drivers competing that season.

Like I said, if you win the championship, you have earned it.

In 48 out of 50 seasons…I agree with you. I disagree with you about Rosberg, and while Max was deserving, he only won the Championship in 2021 because the rules were not correctly followed.

And you’re wrong here too - Toyota gambled on the tyres. If they had followed the others, they would have been behind Hamilton, so your point here is completely flawed. McLaren got the tyre strategy right in Brazil, and Hamilton rightly won the Championship.

Yes, Toyota gambled on the tyres but had the rain not intensified (luck) in those closing laps, would their gamble have paid off? And what about what happened in Singapore that year? Massa was leading that race comfortably until “Crashgate” happened.

You are a Lewis fan so don’t want to see it any other way. Am not even a Rosberg fan but to say he didn’t deserve it just sounds bitter.

So after the Barcelona ‘shakedown’ it looks like Mercedes are the pre-season favourites. McLaren and Ferrari seem to be in the mix, with Red Bull off the pace. The Aston Martin looks stunning, but seems to have reliability issues.

I thought Hamilton set the fastest lap, not that it matters. None of this matters TBH. We’ll only come to know the real pace of the cars in the first race weekend.

I think he did, but all the reports are saying that Mercedes have the strongest overall package including the engine.

The new season is just around the corner and Ferrari seem to be grabbing some headlines with some elements on their car but given Ferrari’s record in the recent years where they promise a lot in pre-season testing but deliver zilch, so I am not getting my hopes up.

Still, quite excited to see how the new generation of cars do and what surprises lie ahead. I am quite sure other teams have some surprising elements kept under the wraps.

The season is already over. Mercedes have a Brawn GP level of dominance and I’m still not sure they’ve fully shown the full potential of their car

Russell takes the drivers championship with ease

Russell champion after Norris all thanks to the car.

Disgusting.

Like when Hill and Villeneuve got powered to titles on the back of Williams rocket ships

2 rule changes where the FIA have made horrible engines for Mercedes to dominate

Did he lie?

Say what you want about Max he is honest and doesn’t lie.

I appreciate that in the age of dupliticious (sp.) pricks like toto and Russell.

That Tory cunt as world champion ffs

Maybe reliability makes it interesting. Russel has already had to replace one battery after the first quali session. Think they’re supposed to have two all season.

I expect this to be the case. There were questions over Mercedes reliability during testing, whereas the Ferrari seemed much better in this regard.

FIA will bail them out when toto cries

Not seen the race but the write up doesn’t give me much hope under the new regs.

Might as well start having them all sit in a room and remotely control the cars on track.

I hate this guy man, he doesn’t have any DAWG in him just moaning like a pussy.

He CANNOT be world champion this year.

What’s happened this year, why is there so much controversy for F1 2026?

New cars. The ground effect era is over. Cars are now designed to almost draw power 50/50 between the combustion engine and a battery. The driver must determine when to deploy the battery power on the track.
Early results suggest Mercedes has figured this out the quickest with Ferrari not far behind.
