Aston Martin are so much further behind as a team though. 7th in the Constructors this season. That’s a big gap to make up!

Someone said a COD streamer won the title :joy:

Completely new cars next season mate

Agree, but even still, it seems like a big ask to me. Fully expect the champion to come from either Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari, or McLaren next season…

Reckon there’s a good chance Mercedes get it right with the new rules and engines. Russel to get his turn.

Don’t understand why Sky have Rosberg there…he is such an undeserving world champion. The sport forgot about him ages ago, so not sure what he adds to proceedings. Just give Jenson the screen time!

It’s gonna be a lottery next season, to a certain degree. No DRS, new engine regs with a 50% electric engine, active aero where the front wing and rear wing change per corner and straight. 30% less downforce and 50kg lighter.

The cars and rules are changing. It’s practially a new sport next season.

I’ve been watching F1 for a long time…there is definitely an undeserving champion, and Rosberg is the definition of one!

Awesome!! So happy for Norris, such a likeable guy!!

Somerset now has two F1 champions, great stat lol

You can’t really fluke a whole season but Lewis had really really shit luck that 2016 season.

Good for you?

That doesn’t make him an underserved winner just makes you sound bitter

Such a shame Norris gets a title before Leclerc.

But Ferrari are a vile and shit team

Lewis had a retirement during the season which cost him the title. He was only 5 points behind Rosberg in the Championship. Rosberg got the luck that season. He wasn’t the better driver. No where near Lewis in terms of quality. There is a reason he decided to retire after the end of the season!

Awful luck! Lewis was by far the better driver that season.

I mean I’ll agree rosberg is probably the most ‘’undeserving’’ in my lifetime but end of the day he won it and has the title to his name. He made the most of the opportunity.

The bit I liked the least was the bitch move of retiring right after because he knew he couldn’t do it again.

But this day belongs to Lando, don’t know why we even talk about Nico.

lol… he isn’t.

Piastri may rue his collapse for a long time.

Hope that the new cars shake up the field quite a bit next season.

Thats just your opinion. I don’t understand why people dislike him tbh

I can only really go back as far as 1975, which is before I was born, but know a bit about the F1 Drivers Championships since then. I can honestly say Rosberg is the only driver that you could say is undeserving of a World Championship in 50 years. As you say, he knew that he lucked out and it was all downhill after 2016 which is why he retired.

Max was gifted the World Championship in 2021 by the Race Director in the final race through corrupt decision-making, but you can’t say he didn’t deserve a World Championship that season. Max and Lewis were both superb that season. Lewis had won the race on the track and should have won the Championship if the race had finished behind the safety car as it should have.

Totally agree, the day is Lando’s…I brought up Rosberg as he was on Sky, which annoys me because he offers nothing.
