At least they’re at home. I’ve had similar runs but all away from home.

Then there was the time a few years ago where my Arsenal team played Chelsea 4 times in a row in 3 competitions. Right fucking ball-ache that was, it was Chelsea back during their Russian Mafia days.

Are Spanish fixtures still brutal in January if you’re still in the Copa Del Rey? Painful stuff that was.

Rather than the silly-bollocks Emirates Cup, I wondered whether any of you playing as Arsenal have a cup competition pre-season.
Over the last few years I’ve scheduled a cup competition the weekend before the Community shield that remembers Arsenal legends who’ve past.

So far in FM24 I’ve had;
The David Rocastle Cup - Man City, Leeds, Chelsea.
The José Antonio Reyes Cup - Sevilla, Benfica and A. Madrid
Just setting up The Kevin Campbell Cup with Everton, Forest and West Brom.

Looks interesting!

Looks, good. I like the Dugout bit. More advice in there from your coaching and medical staff would be hugely welcome.
Not sure how I’ll be able to rally the troops without “shouting” but I’m sure they’ve replaced it with some sort of motivational procedure.

Definitley looks more streamlined, which is appreciated.

And thank god they got rid of the social media thing.

Anyone played FM on an iPad? I have a fairly decent one, and was wondering whether it’s worth looking into.

Reason being, I’m moving house, but will likely be staying with the in-laws for a few weeks.

I can’t imagine anything more boring, and will need video games to keep me sane. I’ll be traveling light, hence iPad.

Not sure if still the case, but the iPad version used to be the same as the mobile version. In other words, a stripped down version of the PC game.

If still the case, I would recommend it. For years I’ve preferred the mobile/tablet version. I don’t have the time or inclination to do the full on PC version anymore, but the simplified version is great, you can get through seasons fairly quickly and you can also play it casually while sat in front of the telly and/or while chatting to relatives in the room, cos the level of detail etc doesn’t demand as much time or attention.

I think the kast version I had was 2019 or maybe 2020 though, so it has been a while, but I assume the above all still holds true.

Haven’t played one in a while but isn’t mods a big thing for FM still?
Can you have mods on the mobile versions? Because if not I think that’s a bit of bummer.

You can’t no. Personally I dont like mods anyway it’s basically cheating

I think when he says mods he means you download stuff so you can put club badges in the game. They make all the difference for me

Yeah, skins essentially. I feel like they added to FM a lot.

Might as well post some of my re-gen beauties here too.

Botamba - signed from Anderlecht’s youth team

Helerson - touted the next big thing at Flamengo, had to sign him and did for only 25m when he was still 17

Biver - signed from Hannover’s youth team at 18 y/o
