At the very least you brought the game into disrepute.
They created this monster, it won’t stop until it devours everything. They’ll attempt another breakaway punished or not. The hand has already been played.

Whatever the punishment is - it’s a free hit. They’ve caved to public pressure and can’t revive it this year so will have to deal with whatever is thrown at them.
In 2026 they’re not going to create another super league because their one off punishment in 2021 was so mean. They’ll create it when they think they can get away with it.
The key to this league is you need all the members signed up before. If even 2 of the 12 back out it doesn’t happen so all you need is a punishment that makes at least 2 of them get cold feet next time.

FIGC have introduced a new law which means clubs now have to sign to confirm they will not join any breakaway leagues. Any teams playing in breakaway leagues not approved by UEFA/FIGC will be banned.

Honestly the line of the English clubs leaving first and being good boys is getting nauseating now. Obviously there was contact made between the clubs or UEFA on this.
