Because United fans spent most of the season rightly complaining about how his presence impacted the way the team played negatively.
Not to mention moving him on was the right thing for Juventus and will be the right thing for United.
Not sure Juve is the best example here, didn’t they just have their lowest points tally and league finish in over a decade ?

The way I see it - If you have an asset that can score 24 goals in a disjointed team, the issue is not with the asset but how the manager is utilizing the team.
There are of course instances where the above is not true & players are detrimental despite scoring like Thoe Walcott.
With Theo, I always asked myself -
Can a cohesive team with Theo outscore a cohesive team without Theo?
The answer was always yes to me.
If I ask the same question -
Can a cohesive team with Ronaldo outscore a cohesive team without Ronaldo?
I am not so sure that would be the case. Ronaldo would end up scoring more goals with a cohesive.
