Well inductive reasoning is extrapolating the evidence we have got.
The facts are that the majority is vaccinated in North-Western Europe, that South Africans don’t get EU visas easily to travel to there, so the plane is most likely very much so occupied by Europeans. The fact is, that vaccinated people exhibit fewer symptoms, or none at all, incubation period is different for everyone. So of those 600 passengers, 61 were tested positive upon arrival. But, the other 539 might develop symptoms later on and are by then already nicely mingling with the rest of the population.
Since 84.7% is fully vaccinated in The Netherlands, isn’t it logical to assume that the massive surge in cases comes mostly from vaccinated people spreading it?
Now the crux of this all and to avoid further confusion as to who is really to blame: The government is to blame for the lack of rules, or inconsistency of them. Not the vaccinated people. However, vaccinated people being the vast majority, not needing to test over here, exhibiting no or fewer symptoms, spread it much more easily than unvaccinated people. That is not to say, unvaccinated don’t spread it at all, they do. Just not as much as vaccinated people do, because there are fewer of them and they need to test to enter most places.
Lockdowns are ridiculous now.
Last year the world was caught unprepared and the hospitals were overflowing with patients. It was understandable that we needed to lockdown to reduce the loads & give some respite to our medical units to find a treatment.
It’s almost two years and we are still using the same solution which was meant to be a stop gap for an actual solution.
Why aren’t our hospitals better equipped to deal with patients by now?
This is all so depressing. I don’t want to spend another set of months in lockdown.
This morning sucked probably why no one knows him, Big breakfast was the morning pre school programme to watch on channel 4 with Kelly Brooke, Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughn.
Nothing changes for me, been wearing the mask like before anyway. Was in a rush yesterday and forgot it as I went I to the supermarket, made a swift turn back to the car and got it.
Quick squirt of the slippery stuff, job done.
If every person continued these habits then I think we’d be in a bit of a better place.
