Seems to be coming from Israel on effectiveness of single vaccine and 12 weeks turnaround waiting for the second.

Looks like lockdown hasn’t worked this time round. Levels are barely plateauing or rising everywhere except in the South West.

What’s the point though? In its current state you can extend it all year and it won’t work. They either need to end it or be a lot stricter and harder on people. On Tuesday I walked along the high street and it was really busy. Most of the shops are obviously shut, so people just congregate outside Costa instead.
Saw lots of people gathered outside a church for a funeral, unless 20/25 people live in the same household/bubble, there was no social distancing going on.
I met my sister in the park, again it was rammed, particularly the playground, where mums were all gathered chatting together.
It’s ridiculous and not at all surprising that it’s not working.

Yeah the parks and roads and playgrounds have been absolutely chockablock here as well. No wonder lockdown hasn’t worked haha
No clue what a good solution would be other than calling in the military and martial law haha

It’s a bit alien a concept but has been needed.
With billions of the taxpayers money being funnelled away into private contracts for Tory pals, government ministers brazenly breaking the rules and the government chopping and changing the rules every other week it’s no wonder people aren’t listening this time around.
They locked us down, the majority listened. They tried to ease restrictions and in doing so - tried to encourage all of us to eat, shop, go back to work and put money back into the economy.
They then turned around and blamed all of us for rising figures.
They didn’t close borders, they didn’t impose restrictions properly, they eased restrictions too soon and did so without adequate measures to help prevent the virus growing.
Even now we’ve got a vaccine that they’re administering to people without even following the studies which state the vaccine must be given in two doses at specific times for maximum efficacy and are literally just making things up as they go along.
Everybody wants to take their ire out on people who travelled or went out and tried to lead a somewhat normal life but be angry at the government who never told us we couldn’t do those things.
Even now, after nearly 12 months of this shit the borders are still not closed. Track and trace is still not effective. Supermarkets are still rammed, parks still have loads of people in them and households still mix.
And there is nobody to blame but the Tory government.

I agree everything should be stricter if they are doing lockdowns how they chose to do it.
But im still going to blame the “adults” who decided to go on holiday during a pandemic. Who went to gyms when they were meant to be closed. Slept with random skanks and went to multiple peoples houses at Christmas

Well. Apparantly we can’t deal with responsibilities. Australia and their cases are mentioned further up the thread, but they had a proper border closing with only citizens being able to come in. Our governments never dared or dare to do that.

Yeah. But if thousands of people did the same than it seems like the government did had to intervene. Which they are doing now anyway. Too little, too late.
Not interested in a debate just find it funny people have been moaning about people like him flouting the rules left right and centre but will like his post of his saying its not my fault I did these things its the government.
They closed the gyms he still went to one. They said no non essential travel he did it, one household at Christmas he went to multiple probably not a rule on random skanks but you know, some people lack common sense dont they bless them.

The government are mainly responsible though. They have cocked this whole thing up from the start. People wouldn’t be able to easily flout the rules if proper restrictions were actually in place.
Saying things like “don’t travel, but you can travel” and “only go out for essential reasons” and then allowing shops like The Range to stay open does nothing for the cause. I’ve been to the garden centre more in the last year than during the rest of my lifetime. Were they “essential” visits? Nope. Just needed something to do/somewhere to go. And the Government have allowed them to stay open, so why not?!
And don’t even get me started on the way they dealt with Christmas. That was just a piss take.
So yeah, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to blame the government and not the people who are just doing what they can do to keep sane.
