Pep gonna claim he’s happy about the early exit so his players can get a rest.
None of our current team could’ve scored that second Al-hilal goal btw and that’s a big issue. Martinelli would have had the pace but fumble the bag, Trossard would’ve been caught by the halfway line and Havertz chips it into the crowd left of the goal.
Yeah, I think the majority of the teams in it want to make it as far as possible, especially the ones that made it out of the groups.
If not from an honour standpoint, they want to do it for financial purposes.

Yeah, you’re right, I’ve just checked.
I didn’t even realise this match was happening today. I thought it was taking place tomorrow like the rest of the fames. I then saw a clip of Neves crying at kick-off and couldn’t believe they allowed him to play.
Feels like this is a football or a wider sports thing. I’ve heard the excuse that it helps you escape for a moment but I just can’t see it.
