I think I read somewhere that Inter Milan have made more money from their run in this competition than they did for winning the Serie A (23/24 season).
Speaks volumes about the gap in finances between the PL and the rest of the European leagues.
Just use that second like on my post, it’s basically the same sentiment

They’re so desperate to try and make this meaningless competition relevant but the empty stadiums is the true measure of how little people care about it.
The World Paint Drying World Cup qualifying rounds would be more popular.

And that’s the problem with football now, obviously they had to qualify for this but the European spots were relatively easy to do so. Porto, benfica etc get in the CWC by being in the CL every year by default.
This comp should be purely about the trophy and the exhibition between continents. It will never be a top prize given the disparity of Europe vs the rest, but the concept could be made much more fun rather than monetary focused.

I mean I could but you’re already in my top 3 most liked posters, and I especially enjoyed the specificity of the “ruined the game with greed” part, you know you get this slow moving of the goal post with posters you very often agree or align with, a like requires more and more as the years go by. I regret to conclude that I guess you just barely didn’t make the cut-off with this one.

I would fully endorse us going all in on Barcola.
No expense spared on the players going onto the pitch individually walking through dry ice and a spectacular light show, it’s just a shame the stadium has more empty seats than supporters.

Game of the tourney going on at the moment. City and Hilal are going toe to toe, City have just equalised AET, 3-3 with another half to go.
City have a 15 minutes to avoid Bono at penalties.

Fucking hell, Hilal have done it and they didn’t even need penalties.
They knocked out the favourites. City actually showed some great signs offensively, especially in the first half.
However, they’re still as vulnerable defensively as they were last season.
If Pep doesn’t fix that he ain’t challenging next season either.
