Chelsea

There were whispers between Chelsea fans he may be willing to come back.

Fans and players still speak very highly of his spell. It’s not the worse idea looking at the market for coaches

I feel like 21/22 was rather a bench mark for him. In those earlier seasons clean up to do still (Ozil saga, Odegaard coming in).

I don’t remember their results being that bad when he was fired. I think the team had gone a little stale and he’s got a rep of being kind of a dickhead.

Maybe this was more a case of Clearlake wanting to look decisive than having an actual plan.

They were 10 points after 6 games with a GD of -1 when Tuchel got fired.

Also lost a CL game in Zagreb 1-0 which I think was his final match.

The season before Tuchel made top 4, lost 2 domestic cup finals on penalties and lost to Real Madrid in ET in the CL quarters.

The first season he took over he got them into the top 4, won the CL and made the cup Final.

100 matches for 60 wins, A champions league and 3 domestic cup finals.

Tuchel was shafted.

Looks even weirder after the outlay in the summer.

Tuchel’s football was the absolute pits at the very end. That Zagreb game was the stuff of nightmares.

That said if they were going to be this resolute in backing Potter this much Tuchel could’ve been afford more time.

Think the owners are quite suspect atm. Long may it continue.

I think it’s great that they looked at our project and wanted to replicate it, when deep down, they don’t have the patience to see out a long term project such as ours.

You have to be able to roll with the rough times and Chelsea have a history of having little patience with their managers.

Wrong plan to replicate and I love it.

He’s the wrong guy, at the wrong time at the wrong place.

(Always wanted to say that)

Tuchel is obviously a decent manager but like every other manager at Chelsea, they need instant success and anything less won’t be tolerated by the owner.

Also, like several of their previous managers, Tuchel lost the dressing room, which is what seems to have happened to Potter.

This is what happens at a club full of individual mercenary players with massive egos but is made worse by having an impatient owner and entitled supporters.

There’s nothing to admire about Chelsea.
From their toxic entitled supporters to their idiotic owner, they’re a classless club.

There’s no business model, just bought success so with their new control freak owner, let’s hope they continue sliding back to mediocrity where they belong.

More troubles at Chelsea, best defender out for a while.

Shortly after his contract renewal too.

So will be back just before we play them. Of course.

Can see Steve Holland getting called back for the remainder of the season soon.

I wonder if @Forever is a fan.

What a mad fucking list. Mourinho the only one to last more than 100 PL games since Abramovich took over.

Wasnt Ranieri in with Abramovich as owner?

Aye but only for one season so he only had 38 or whatever under Abramovich. Could have caveated that in initial post tbf
