He is actually spitting truth.

The more they spent on an already bloated squad, the more damage they do. Give him till the end of the season. I doubt they’ll get relegated.

The season is as good as done anyway.

Allow him to work with what he’s got and see what he can do with it. If there’s no upturn by the end of the season and no positive signs then you can sack him with clear conscience and you don’t have to pass all the players he signed onto the next manager.

I don’t think this is a thing anymore. We have signed Jesus, Partey, Ødegaard, Zinchenko etc and we haven’t had it since 2016/17

Im hearing Potter will get the sack…eventually…at some point…

Partey yes maybe, but no one was taking a chance on Ode and Arteta did and he got to play for a big club and made his home here, plus he had been at arsenal before when he was younger didn’t he? Zinny and Jesus already had a working relationship with Arteta from Mancity so knew what he was about and knew what he offered.

Do you need CL to sign a Bellingham type player? I think so

They will get Tuchel or Poch

Sean Dyche followed by Allerdyce when they are in 18th place

Nah. Plenty of top players have gone to clubs if the financial details are correct and the club is a “big” enough name.

Is it close, very close or touching cloth?

We need to know on the Mudryk Scale.

The only reason they need Europe is to help their books look better for FFP, which they can still find ways around.

We saw not too long ago Casemiro switch Madrid for a “declining” at the time Man Utd. Enzo
Fernandez is kicking up a fuss about joining this Chelsea despite their state.

It doesn’t matter as long as you make it up financially. PL has a massive pull nowadays, it’s the most popular league in the world by some distance. Add to that being a top club in that same league(they stil are despite their current league position and state) and they essentially can have a go at almost every player in the world.

There’s always gonna be the handful out there like Mbappe who probably value being in the CL trying to build their legacy but Chelsea shouldn’t even be looking at those guys at the minute, especially if they keep touting that “project” line.

They spent 260m last window. They will always be able to compete for CL because they have deep pockets. It’s really a question of execution for Chelsea as opposed to actually attracting guys.

They are still a big name, they have cash, they’re in a desirable location for young rich people, there’s no reason they aren’t able to be right in the mix for basicallly any player.

It’s an interesting question where they are in the pecking order right now in terms of desirability for players. There once was a time when they could compete with almost any club, taking players like Hazard despite interest from SAF’s United, etc. But right now you’d have to say they are firmly behind City and Liverpool as well as Barca, Real, and Bayern. And depending on how this season goes, it seems possible that United will be a more desirable location next summer and maybe even Arsenal.

Players value money above all else but Chelsea isn’t blowing any of those clubs away on wages at this point except us. And we may be moving in a direction where we’d be making wage bids to players that are at least competitive with whatever they can offer. Our underlying revenue fundamentals are just as strong, they just still have a big bloated wage structure whereas we’ve had a reset.

Not sure. Think Liverpool and united possibly still could without tbh.

I think we do. Right now, City or Liverpool could fall out of the top four and probably still make this sort of signing on the assumption that they’d be right back in it next year. We on the other hand haven’t been in the CL for over half a decade as it stands, so a Bellingham level target probably won’t assume that we would be, and would need it to be in place before joining.

Tuchel wasn’t that bad :joy::joy:

All’s I know is these ratings were pure GAS

These guys are so random. Negotiating Thuram, Madueke and Mudryk at the same time. After they signed Felix.

Seriously what’s the plan here? :man_facepalming:
We’re literally seeing someone playing Career Mode IRL.

Where’s FFP in this? Chelsea are single-handedly fucking up the market. Someone has to step in and control this mess. They’re bound to have 35+ senior players in the squad, with the majority of them on massive wages, how’s this allowed?
